The poe switch/poe extender operating temperature is -30 to 70℃(-20 to 158℉).

Does this unit provide surge protection from lightning strikes?

If you look at the stock pics they show a ground wire for it. I grounded mine when I installed it outdoors. You do need to ground it.

The description says 'supports passive poe to power the switch', does that mean actual passive poe, or does it support 802.3at/af standard to power it

I'm using 48v 60 watt POE inserter, to run switch and 4 POE camera. Used it to add cameras to location where I couldn't run more cables.

Saw the anser on support for 802.1q tagged/vlan. just trying to clarify, is this smart managed or it just passes all vlan on the line?
