Well Worth It!
I was very much surprised at the quality and sturdiness of this sword. It felt alive in my hands. Its weight and grip could not have fit me better. The Hamon, which seems to be a fire pattern, will knock your socks off. Real ray skin. Very fine segao. The ito is very tight and comfortable. Same for the fittings. The Saya has a very nice taper from the mouth to the tip that I find very pleasing and classy. Slimmer than the majority of Sayas I’ve seen. I just can’t say enough about the sturdiness of this katana. Oh, I almost forgot. It’s sharp as hell T10 tempered steel. This Shinken sword is the the nicest and least expensive of the 3 Shinken swords I own. 5⭐️s to Shinken of Swords for this fantastic piece!

Solid cutter, well built.
The media could not be loaded. After having had a chance to cut with a friend's L6 Shinken of Swords blade, I wanted to check out their offerings. The lower end usually gives some clues as to quality and performance, so I went with this one (the natural Saya really pops too). I was very surprised by just how well it cut right out of the box, with no sharpening or edge placed on it. Nice fit and finish all around. Tight tsukaito with a nice shape, good looking furniture, and a gorgeous real hamon rounds this one out. I would definitely recommend Shinken of Swords to anyone looking for an affordable cutter.

Nice Katana for Good Price!
The media could not be loaded. The katana came in really well-packaged! Overall it’s great! The blade is beautiful! A beautiful clear hamon. Balance is a bit off but for the price it’s great! Gripping on the katana is great, the ito is solid and improve the grip quite much. (I hate when ito come loose) The saya is smaller than standard but I actually enjoy the texture, and it actually has a Kojiri! The sageo is very nice not some shoe laces.I am yet to cut with the katana yet so we’ll be updating!Overall first impression is awesome!

Best swords on Amazon
Genuinely the best order on Amazon. Out of all the rest, the closest thing you can get to a real samurai sword would be the t10 steel, the high carbon that's in the middle. That's close to the real steel that's used in real genuine Japanese swords. It's the closest thing you can get on the market without having to pay 5 grand. The sword comes out the box decently sharp. If you want it to be sharper, it can easily be done at 15° on a sharpening block starting off at 8000 grit at that and then you can use an edger to get the edge perfectly sharp. The ones you use in the kitchen the sword can become so sharp. You cut paper like a ninja the handle and everything feels very stout well made. But together I think Phil's cheap and it feels more genuine. It's a beautiful sword and I love it.

May (probably WILL) come rusted (update!)
The katana arrived with thick rust splotches on the blade. The tip was not properly oiled like the rest of the blade and it rusted in storage, I'd guess. The blade and was oiled in plastic wrap but the tip was bone dry in comparison.Had to refund and will try ordering a new one e, I suppose. The katana build quality is otherwise superb, so hopefully just a fluke.Update: Nope! Second sword (picture two) arrived with even more rust than the first. These are likely improperly stored at a humid warehouse. I don't know if Amazon warehouses or the seller is to blame. BUYER BEWARE. Total shame, as the sword is otherwise amazing.Update 2: I removed the rust, hoping it was short term and only surface level. The rust was dark throughout (like old rust) and upon removal it left deformation and pits. I managed to get a good shine so I reached bare metal, but the process was not easy and required a dremel and buffing toolheads to get there. This has to be really old stock being pushed off. The seller needs to check all stock, remove rusted items, and start selling the oldest stock from last known good items. This is ABYSSMAL quality control.

A very nice Bohi T10 Sword at this price point!
The blade is very sharp on the paper test, the balance of the sword is excellent, the fittings are tight. I have tested this sword on the paper cut and the blade does pass but could be sharper but at this price point I cannot complain. The sword itself does seem lighter than the others I have purchased recently and upon wielding this sword it makes a difference as a functional cutter upon. The sword does not rattle in the saya and is very snug fit, I will adjust this to allow for smoother removal of the sword from the saya. The Tsuka Ito is tight and looks good, the Tsuba and kashira are brass and very attractive, it is hard for me to find fault with the sword at all at this price point. The sword is T10 steel blade with a Rockwell hardness of about 60 HRC is what I was told by the manufacturer. It is easier for me to get this sword to sing probably due to the bohi groove. The only negative is the saya does not appear to be of high quality of materials as the other swords I have purchased. That being said do I regret the decision to buy this sword, nope. I am pleased with this sword, in my presentation racks it may be the ugly duckling in the saya, but my brief use of the sword, I can recommend this sword for purchase. Getting it during Prime days allowed me to get an additional discount, bottom line is you will not be disappointed.

Great sword with a couple flaws
Blade was great but the tip polish was buggered. The Hamon is pretty nice and only has a few blemishes in the milky edge. So it's polished correctly, where the spine is polished up and the edge is left more milky. The Tsuba had the detail side pointed towards the handle. Probably not much for some but the side without the dragon head is much more flat and would be way more comfortable if it were pointed toward the handle. As it is the dragon head digs into your hand pretty bad. Also I would prefer the dragon to have been flipped and positioned at the top as imo it would look better, but the handle was not coming apart so I was not able to service it myself. A good and bad thing. Overall it's pretty decent if you can get it apart and feel like doing some hand polishing.
