Fishing Net Cast Net for Fishing Accessories Fish Trap with Steel Chain

Love this cast net. I bought 2, one for myself and one for my wife and she can get it to open just about as good as I can. They are easy to throw and opens beautifully. If needed, you can throw it all day long and not get worn out doing so, unlike the ones with weights on the bottom. Highly recommend. Seems to be made very well and the cost is great. The retrieve rope is long so it can be thrown a long way. Will buy again when I need another.

Throws really well. Low effort. Much better than weighted nets. Package was late and net was 4 ft diameter not 4 ft radius as described. Keeping it as it is perfect size for throwing from my kayak. I have not taken it out on the kayak yet, but much easier to thrown than my weighted nets so I don't expect to run into problems. Update on the net. Took it out twice. First time was to a spot with zero hazards. Net ripped in seaweed. I didn't even notice until I went to use at a different location. This spot had weeds you had to pull the net up through. Elevated position. This spot ripped the net more. While easier to throw, quality is just not there. My 4 ft weighted net is the same price but uses thicker mono. Used at same 2 locations and no rips.

Not sure why others have complaints about this net.. cast perfect everytime, since it is a chain there is no weights to tangle up on itself... really light but sinks quickly due to 5/8" mesh, so arm doesnt get tired throwing it... It is lightweight so if it gets hung in brush or rocks underwater it is gonna get some tears, i have never seen one that didnt. If you are experienced with cast nets you prolly wont get hung very often, and if you are new and destroy it then you havent lost much money... Definitely worth the price.. i ordered a 2nd one after throwing it for a while during first trip.. The chain bottom is so much better.

Overall this was a very marginal cast net. It was cheap 5' mono cast net, the brail lines were lopsided 2 of them were shorter than the rest so a perfect cast would not have made a circle! the swivel at the top of the net was the cheapest 2/0 brass swivel I've ever seen. The mono for the netting was very thin ( I would guess less than 20# test). It did come with a 1/8" SS Chain instead of regular weight line. With the 1/8" chain and the very thin and larger than 3/8" mesh it might have sank very quickly, but with the other problems I choose to send it back. I was impressed with how easy the return process was.

this cast net very first one I have ever seen to have a chain at the bottom it rocks. It is so much easier to use than any of the other cast nuts check it out sometime. It’s not very expensive. It’s worth your buck.

The chain came untied on the first cast and the entire chain has to be repaired before it can be used again. very low quality and way too light of a net to be used in a water current or wind. I would not use this net again.

The cast net is of very poor quality and poor finish. The seller’s description of the net is misleading and of deceptive behaviour. The seller does not respond to messages and Amazon should kick them out.

Chain was advertised as stainless but is only zinc plated and has rusted , also chain is too light
