Wow!! Great wireless Microphone at a Great Price!!
I'm setting up another mobile sound system for live events. I needed a dependable wireless microphone for live events. I have purchased other Phenyx Pro products in the past so I thought I would give this one a try. I love the built in spectrum analyzer and the Auto scan feature. Super easy to setup. The mics are very well built and sound very good. The range is very impressive. I will be using these for indoor and outdoor events with confidence in the quality of sound and no dropouts.

A Great Purchase
I own Shure KSM9 wireless mic and both Sennheiser wired E965 and E945 mics. So I was nervous about this one. But to my surprise, it performs extremely well against KSM9 and E965 in sound quality -my high-end mics. One of my guests said "This mic is very good. is it Shure or Sennheiser?" I just laughed. The minor downside is that both mics show channel A, instead of A & B, so I have to use a color code rings and the frequencies to tell them apart. But it is not a big deal to me. I strongly believe it is worth it. Kudos to the manufacture!

Great quality and features at a reasonable price!!
We have used a lot of Phenyx Pro products over the years. Most are great! This one is top of the line in their wire less microphone line. We are very happy with it! Sound is great, the features are way above its price point! We've never had any interference with their microphones in a large variety of venues. The one and only issue I can come up with is the rechargeable batteries (EBL 2800mAh AA) don't really fit. If we peel off the outer layer of plastic, it will go in, but coming out is very difficult! We love this item and the IEM systems we use as well!!

Great microphones and not very expensive
The quality is amazing. They give our Shure wireless microphones a great competition, and for a fraction of the price. I have them both working within 100 feet from the receiver in a room full of audience. They are just great. The sound quality, the range, just great.

Affordable Excellence – Perfect Wireless Mic System for Small Churches
As a worship leader at a small church with limited resources, finding high-quality sound equipment at an affordable price has always been a challenge—but the Phenyx Pro PTAU-2 wireless microphone system has truly exceeded our expectations. From the start, the setup was incredibly easy and straightforward, even for those on our team who aren’t particularly tech-savvy. Within minutes, we had both handheld microphones synced and ready to go, thanks to the system’s intuitive controls and automatic frequency pairing. What really impressed me was the sound clarity. Whether we’re leading worship, delivering sermons, or making announcements, the audio is consistently crisp and strong. There’s no noticeable lag or static, and we haven’t experienced any interference issues, even in a relatively crowded RF environment. The UHF operation and ID Lock function give us added confidence that the system won’t drop out mid-service. The range is more than enough to cover our entire sanctuary and stage area, and we’ve even tested it from the back of the room with no signal loss. The build quality of the microphones and receiver feels solid and professional. The mics are lightweight yet sturdy, comfortable to hold during extended use, and produce very little handling noise. The metal receiver with a clear LCD display adds to the sense that this is a well-designed, reliable product. We especially appreciate the dual-channel setup, which allows both the pastor and worship leader to use microphones simultaneously without worrying about overlap or feedback. Overall, the PTAU-2 has been an incredible value for our church. It delivers the kind of performance and reliability I’d expect from a much more expensive system. For any small church or ministry looking to upgrade their audio without breaking the budget, I can’t recommend the Phenyx Pro PTAU-2 highly enough. It’s enhanced the quality of our worship services and brought a new level of professionalism to our sound setup.

Great
Phenyx Pro Dual-Channel Wireless Microphone System Review The Phenyx Pro Dual-Channel Wireless Microphone System is an excellent option for those seeking reliable audio performance without breaking the bank. Here’s a detailed review of its features, performance, and overall value: Design and Build Quality The microphones and receiver feel durable and well-constructed, with a sleek black finish that lends a professional appearance. However, they are very prone to fingerprints. The receiver's intuitive design features clear channel indicators and simple controls, making it user-friendly even for beginners. Setup and Usability Setting up the system is straightforward. The microphones and receiver pair quickly, and the system includes everything you need to get started, including antennas and a power adapter. The plug-and-play functionality is not great for live performances, presentations, or events where you need good sound quality. you will need to EQ things. Audio Quality The sound quality is impressive for its price point. The microphones usually deliver clear and consistent audio with minimal distortion. The dynamic range is suitable for both speaking and singing, and the built-in noise filtering helps reduce background interference. However, there is a noticeable humming noise when the microphones are unmuted, especially in quieter environments. While it doesn’t significantly impact live performances, it may require additional post-processing for recordings or events where pristine sound quality is essential. Wireless Range and Stability The advertised wireless range of up to 200 feet works well in practice. The signal remains stable even in environments with moderate obstructions, making it suitable for large rooms or outdoor use. I recommend buying the antenna extender because there have been some dropouts. Battery Life The microphones use standard AA batteries and provide a respectable runtime. Carrying spare batteries is recommended for extended use, but battery performance is comparable to other systems in this class. Value for Money The Phenyx Pro system offers excellent value. It’s a cost-effective choice for small venues, churches, schools, and hobbyists who need reliable wireless microphones. Pros: Affordable and reliable. Easy to set up and use. Durable construction. Clear and stable audio performance. Cons: Slightly limited audio warmth for studio recording. Noticeable humming noise when unmuted. Batteries are not rechargeable. Overall Rating: 4/5 The Phenyx Pro Dual-Channel Wireless Microphone System is a standout product for its price. While it may not rival premium professional setups, it exceeds expectations in terms of quality and performance for general use. The humming noise is a drawback, but it’s a manageable issue for many live-use scenarios. Whether you're hosting events, performing live, or presenting in a professional setting, this system remains a dependable choice.

Works, But the Noise and Design Flaws Make This Hard to Recommend
I bought the Phenyx Pro PTAU-2 as a budget-friendly UHF wireless system. It works, but there are frustrating issues that keep it from being more than a backup rig. The background noise floor is noticeable. Even though the system remembers its last channel and frequency, you still have to manually re-sync the transmitter and receiver every time you power it on or you get heavy noise. That is not normal for a modern wireless system. The front rack ears look like they are designed for antenna pass-throughs but the holes are too small for a standard BNC bulkhead connector. If you want to mount antennas up front you will need to drill out the rack ears or use a separate rack panel. Customer service was disappointing. I sent multiple messages with clear questions and only got generic responses that did not address the actual issue. This unit is fine for a budget setup but between the noise, the need to resync, and the rack limitations I would not trust it for serious live shows. Can't count on customers service, make a better investment if reliability matters.

Hard to beat for this price point
I was looking for a set of wireless mics to use for speeches at corporate and wedding events. But I didn't want to break the bank doing it. However, I've tried a few other cheaper models and had nothing but issues (static, interference, or just simply not working). The PTAU-2 came to the rescue! The packaging was pretty much in line with what I've seen with the more expensive Shure and Sennheiser wireless systems I have. Everything was surrounded by cut foam and wrapped in plastic. The only thing I expected to see but didn't was any desiccate packs to help absorb moisture. You usually find the gel packs or indicator strips to let you know if moisture built up during shipping but there were none. I was also a bit dismayed that there were no bags for storing the microphones. A problem easily remedied by a $10 purchase on Amazon. Still, it would be nice to have something to protect them. I put the PTAU-2 receiver in a rack with another Phenyx Pro product: the PTM-33 4 channel in ear monitor system. That system works in the 902-928MHz range so it wasn't going to interfere with the PTAU-2 in the 512-562 MHz range. I noticed that the rack ears are built in to the face plate so they can't be removed. The receiver also comes with rubber feet installed on the bottom which had to be removed to rack mount it below the PTM33. I guess I could also have removed the PTM33 and the feet could have stayed on the PTAU-2. A minor inconvenience. The microphones themselves feel quite sturdy, having a metal shell but not super heavy because the internals are more plastic (probably ABS so not brittle). I installed the included AA batteries and fired up the system. The displays on the mics and the receiver are very intuitive and clear. The spectrum scan function made it pretty easy to find areas of RF noise but the scan function did a good job of finding channels that were clear. Another feature I liked is the mute on the mics. The button is a bit recessed so you really have to intentionally press the button to mute it. I had another system that also had mute but it was far too easy to mute it accidentally. Especially in the hands of the father of the bride or someone else who isn't microphone savvy. I did notice that if you put your hand at the very bottom of the mic where the antenna is, the signal drops significantly. This happens with most wireless mics, even the Shure system I have so you to give a little instruction to the user to hold it in the middle. Proximity is thing with dynamic mics and these are no exception. You do have to get within a few inches to have decent audio signal strength. Again, very similar to the Shure 58 system I use. I've used this at 4 events now and had zero issues. I even used it for guest vocals on a song and it actually sounded really clean. At one event, which was outdoors, the person using it was a good 100 ft away around a corner at one point and I still had good signal with minimal dropout. The ID lock helped with interference at one event caused by another wireless system on stage in the same frequency range. To be honest, I would recommend this system over some more expensive systems if the goal is to have secondary mics for guest speakers or singers. I'd need more testing in different environments to trust it as a primary vocal system. But after the reliability I've seen so far, I'd definitely trust it IF I also had hardwire back up SM58's on standby. Now, if they make a version of the PTM33 that is as reliable as the PTAU-2 seems to be, we'd really be looking at a company with a solid foothold in the lower end pro marketplace. You aren't going to be using it in arenas but smaller shows, corporate events and weddings are the perfect spot for this mid range system.
