This product is well made and I cannot understand the negative reviews given by some customers. I bought it to resolve a problem with an airstone in my small garden pond which I installed to oxygenate my pond in hot weather. The uplift from the airstone raised fine silt from the bottom of the pond and deposited it on the plants which, apart from being unsightly, would damage them. The sponge intake filters avoid this problem and there is now a filtered and aerated outflow from above the surface. Cleaning is easy as the sponges simply slide off the water intake spindles.

Efficient and a good size. Sits well in the small tank we have. The water clarity is excellent since using this and it has a very simple and easy to fit.

Great filter. Came with 2 spare filter sponges, nice surprise. The bio ball areas are also great since you can keep lots of the good bacteria back when you need to cold wash the filter...You can alternately fill the transparent cavity’s with active carbon pellets or larger aggregate. Good size for medium to large tank, small tank it will be quite large in there. Makes water Cristal. If you buy one. You will want another.(Con+fix) The connectors in the piping could be a bit more tight. (If you are to move the filter around underwater while the exit pipe is attached to the glass by suction. The L joints can wiggle loose a bit too easily. Fix: don’t move the unit underwater by grabbing the sponge filter. Only use the stem/exit pipe to which the rubber suckers attach.) Would buy again! 2 more please!

This filter has replace an internal canister filter in a tank with cherry chrimp and white clouds in, there's no chance of the tiny baby shrimp being sucked into it. Very easy to use, simply connect some air line, place into tank and turn on your air pump, the water flow can be directed in whatever direction you want and the sponges are easy to rinse out when doing water changes and there's really nothing that can go wrong with it.

The filter was bought for a small tank and was bigger than expected. Using a Stanley knife it was possible to cut is down to size easily.

Air Driven Double Sponge Filter, this came well packaged, it was a little bigger than i thought it was going to be, but i felt like that was just a better deal for my money (wish other company's did that too) it took just minuets to set it up, plugged in my air line and suckered it to the side and you're good to go and it works like a charm , i was so happy with it i've just bought another one for a different tank so i can swap out one of the new sponges for the old cycled one , i originally bought it so small fry or shrimp will be safe and they will be with this, very happy
