Q: How long does the baterry last on one charge?

It lasts awhile. As long as you turn it off at the end of each shift. I usually work 5 9 hour days. And I’ve had it last me all week, on a single charge. But if u keep it on it’ll last maybe 2-3 shifts. But I don’t use the flashers much. I usually use it to for the white and red LED when writing citations or speaking to a person. Very rarely do I use the strobes

Q: How well does it work on the dashboard of a vehicle?

it is not bright enough to use as a dash light replacement for actual traffic control or response. it's bright but not enough. to use as a road side emergency light it would work ok. set next to my actual dash lights there is no way i would expect traffic to notice it on a moving vehicle. it is bright, but small with no focused or diffused light. for me this is more of a secondary supplemental light than a primary. as a personal safety light this is as good as it gets
