It was a little bit tricky to get the stranded wire into the contact ports, but after I figured out a technique for the first wire, the others were cake to insert. Works beautifully. A couple of tips: -Make sure that you write down or take a photo of how the color coded wires are arranged in the numbered contact ports in the existing control before you remove it. It's critical to put the correct color wires into the correct numbered contacts when you install the new switch. -Also be sure to check that the switch matches the frequency of the transformer in the ceiling fan. That's an easy detail to overlook and it's important.

Like for like OE replacement. Frustration free installation and operation. Ensure you record wiring configuration of failed switch prior to determinating conductors.

The old switch in our fan had broken 3 times and each time I repaired the old one. I got tired of repairing it and ordered this one. It installed quite easily. However, I do notice the pull is a bit harder. The issue is in the aluminum like collar that secures the switch on the outside. The casting is not smooth and I believe it might fail sooner than later. If it does I will adjust my review to reflect this problem.

I have a 12 year old Hunter fan this isn’t the easiest thing to work on, no instructions with the actual item but there is tons of YouTube videos out there that work when installing this. A lot cheaper than replacing the fan and I expect to get years of more use out of the fan with this little gadget.

Was a perfect replacement switch for my 3 speed + Off ceiling fan. Original switch was a JIN YOU E70469. It is easy to install, ensure you copy wire location of old switch before removing

I DEFINITELY NOT!!! recommend this item to you! the fan wires will not stay in place inside the switch and it keep coming loose. Because i don't want to waste my time returning it, i have NO choice but to SOLDER 4 extra wires on the switch contacts then connect (solder) it to the fan wires, (use shrink tubing to insulate). Think before you buy it.
