Amazon's description is wrong but the brandy's spot on!
This brandy is not "5 Year Aged" as in the title. The "5" refers to the number of sherry casks through which it has passed during production, hence the "Sherry 5 Cask" on the label. Its producers, Gonzalez Byass, state on their website that it is normally between 1 and 3 years old.That said, it's one of the most delicious brandies I have tasted and is now the only one I buy - except when I feel extravagant, when I buy Soberano 12. This is not 12 years old but, as before, has dwelt in up to 12 sherry casks and is generally around 7 years old.
