This has reduced tears and the begging for more screen time by almost 100%! I set the limit I am comfortable with and my son has the full responsibility of managing his own time with this timer. He can pause it and go play. The timer gives him a sense of control & freedom over when and how long he will use his screen time throughout the day. The pause ability has increased his non-screen play. My son picked out the timer, so it might be one of the factors of why he responds well to it.PRO: A child or adult can easily pause and unpause the timer with a simple touch.There is a yellow warning light to give them time to finish up before the timer goes off. This is so IMPORTANT.Easy to program and set.CON: No "on" and "off" switch--- leading to having to change batteries often. One trick around this is to take the batteries when not in use. But it's frustrating having to screw and unscrew the battery compartment every day.

This timer is a great way to diffuse hostilities between kids & the people (parents & grandparents) who have to get them places on time & ready for business. Highly recommend.

I got this practical countdown timer for my 3-year-old nephew. At first, he didn’t really grasp the whole countdown concept, but after a few weeks of using it, he caught on. It’s flashy enough to keep his interest, but he quickly realized it’s not a toy. Setting up and controlling the timer is super easy for the adults. Being able to control the volume and mute it completely is great to have.The only downside is that the lights don’t light up exactly when you’d expect. With only three lights, it’s tough to make it perfect for everyone. It would be nice if the yellow light came on closer to the end time for a better warning. Also, the button at the top of the rocket is a bit counterintuitive—it makes you want to tap it, but doing so actually stops the timer. Pretty durable build and hasn’t broken yet after a few falls and tumbles.

So cute! And helpful!My daughter is autistic and transitioning from one thing to the next is super difficult for her. Bath time especially is a favorite activity and getting her out is always a power struggle. Setting this for a few minutes and having the colors and sounds to help her prepare for getting her out of the tub is a game changer! She went from saying “no timer! Bath” to putting up her toys and getting out of the tub without a fight or without any words she just started putting away her toys and pulled the stopper up to let the water out 😧The timer itself was pretty self explanatory. It takes 3 AAA batteries that were simple to install and I love the added touch of the arrow around the screw so you easily see which way to turn to open without having to think. I also love the included screwdriver for the task! So nice to not have to search for the right size and I can keep it upstairs with the time for when we need to change them.The number display is on the bottom which is kind of harder for me, since I can’t tell her the minutes left unless I actually pick it up. But the light changes to the yellow and makes a sound as a warning so that definitely makes it being on the bottom less of an issue!The alarm sound is pretty loud, I wasn’t prepared for it and it startled me. The colors are easily visible as well!I love this and it will be so helpful!Highly recommend for anyone who’s kiddos struggle with transitions or that need something to keep them on a task for a certain amount of time!

The media could not be loaded. My kids have some older tech that they like to play, and it doesn't have a way to set time limits. In addition, my 8-year-old son has ADHD, and he needs a visual cue to know when his time is nearly up. This Time Rocket is exactly what we needed. The rocket is a good size and easily portable. You can set the time using the easy controls on the base, press start, and it begins the countdown. When it gets to 2mins, the light changes to yellow. When time is up, the buzzer goes off and can be silenced by tapping the top of the rocket.The rocket is the perfect size for any use: classroom and home. I like the fact that it is highly visible, and my kids never have the excuse to say they didn't know they were running out of time. Arguments about turning off their devices have gone away, and the household is calmer.
