This tag is UWB capable and works great
I love this handy little device! The UWB capability was the main reason I purchased it, and it definitely delivers. Keep in mind that you'll need a UWB-enabled phone to take full advantage of this feature. The precision of the UWB tracking is fantastic - I can easily find my items without relying on a loud sound. That said, the device still has a ringer that's easy to hear, even from a closed suitcase about 10-15 feet away. Another cool feature is that it shows the tag's location relative to my Google Nest devices! This came in super handy at the airport where I was able to track my luggage with ease.As more Android phones start to support "Find My Device," I'm confident that the tracking response time will only get better.

Works as expected, a few things to note...
Already owning both Airtags and Smart tags, I couldn't wait to try out the new Moto Tag.Only 1 didn't pair right away, and I tried it again which paired perfectly. For new users of any trackable tag, please be patient, especially if you live in a semi rural area. While these tags ping off other phones, not all phones are new enough (ultra wide band) and not all older phones have the find my feature enabled and running.First thoughts is that it is nearly identical to the air tags disc shape, only slightly smaller, and android compatible of course.I attached all three mentioned brands to my wife's key chain as a test and she took them shopping with her and the results were very accurate and fast.Of course my intent on buying these is not to track anyone, as I could do that better with life360.My main reason is to keep track of my wallet, keys, even pet, and most any valuables such as side by side, 4 wheelers and anything valuable.Just tape the tag with super sticky black tape to anywhere such as the under side of the dash, and you will never lose track of your items again.

Not Apple Airtag Equivalent
The setup for these is fairly easy but can be complicated by downloading the Mototag App and adding it that way before adding it to Find My Device first which shouldn't be an issue but it is unfortunately. The connectivity is mediocre at best and I have an UWB enabled phone and it still connects no better than a Bluetooth connection, which again is not great, so it's pretty much is a Bluetooth tag and not an UWB tag from my experience, which makes this thing not worth it alone. The tracking is no better than the connectivity and your items will be easily lost and will be unable to be found if you're not nearby so don't expect functionality of it being able to be tracked the same as an Apple Airtag. The battery life is horrendous even when unused/barely used. I have a tag that has never been buzzed or used to find my phone and was activated in late October of 2024 and the battery already says it needs to be replaced. I have another one I activated in December 2024 and it also reports back as the battery being bad. This one was also barely used and still drained the battery to nothing. It's not like it's tracking very well so there's no justification for that type of battery drain. In the end this is a disappointing start to a supposed UWB Android tracker like Apple's and it barely compares to it. The price vs functionality and poor features makes this tag way overpriced for what it is. Save your money and look at cheaper options first because you will not get UWB functionality out of this one and just get stuck with paying for batteries more often than Bluetooth only ones. Hopefully Google will release their own instead of relying on third party partners like Motorola.

Mostly works. One tag died after 7 days of use.
The item was received in good condition. The setup was straightforward and the Find My Device app immediately detected the tags as soon as the plastic tab was removed and the battery was activated. It works great with my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Samsung Galaxy S24 FE handsets. The Motorola app did not work at all so I was not able to configure the button on the tag.I attached one tag to my keys and the rest were placed on 3rd-party cat collars for my pets.Location accuracy was very broad but that is to be expected since I was not able to make use of the UWB functionality of the device. Worked great for a week but one of the tags stopped updating.I tried replacing the battery and resetting the device but the tag appeared to remain dead. Contacted Amazon Customer Support and the agent refunded my single defective tag for $20 (felt a bit shortchanged since the 4 pack sold for around $100).

Excellent product
After initial hiccups and with the latest firmware it's an absolutely excellent product, with a great ability to accurately locate the tag (there are more Android phones than Apple ones). Too bad for the false start, but kudos for rapidly fixing all the issues (weak ability to locate and spurious low battery warning).
