I took a chance on the scrubber, and I’ve been really pleased with it. I started with a half-used brick of Bay Rum, and was impressed at how quickly the soap worked into a lather. The orange side was great for regular wash, and the green side has been great for tough places that are either calloused or on their way (knuckles, elbows, etc.). I also used the green side once after I’d been painting; it really helped make sure all the little specks were gone and that I didn’t look like a Jackson Pollock canvas.Once the Bay Rum had run its course, I switched to a new, full-size brick of Gunsmoke (good stuff!). I agree with other users that it was slightly finicky to get the full brick in the scrubber. I imagine that is by design, and I didn’t have a problem with it. I have noticed that, compared to a “more used” brick, it is a little more work to get a good lather with a new bar. That said, if you use the water flow and work the scrubber with your fingers, it will do the job. More and more uses will eventually start eroding the bar, and you ‘ll be able to get more friction and thus more lather.I think it’s a great value, especially since there’s nothing keeping you from using other soaps in the same scrubber. Great gift idea for the dudes in your life as well.

I will say their advertising around the prison showers is problematic if not borderline homophobic. So I really don't like that and wouldn't buy it as a gift because of it.But if you only care about the quality of the product and not the advertising / packaging - this is excellent. I've used the exfoliating soap pouches before and they wear through the bar soap very vast. This one does not, it lathers well, it doesn't scrape up your skin, and just works great for what it's intended to do. Gives you a much cleaner feel for a lot less waste then body wash + loofah so that's also great.I haven't owned it long but it does seem to be holding up well though - so I suspect it'll last awhile if not indefinitely and claims to be machine washable if/when it becomes grungy. So can't attest to that but all good signs so far.So, again, they should rework their marketing / packaging. But the product itself is great.

Most bar soap leaves me feeling crustily dry and itchy, so I use CeraVe hydrating soap bars instead. It's not gigantic and disintegrates much more quickly because it has a lot of oil in it. You'll end up using two bars at a time.For no-shave winter, the netting is made so that it catches almost no body hair - unlike loofahs or soap savers (drawstring soap bar holders made of netted loofah material), which catch so much hair you'd swear it couldn't all come from YOU?!I only use the orange side. The olive side felt more abrasive, but that could just be in my head.I wish it came in navy blue or safety yellow at least. Orange and olive green are the ugliest colors to me, but it gets me clean so whatever.Ooh, before I forget! Unlike loofahs, these are machine washable. If the soap residue builds up, just toss it in (with the flap CLOSED) and it's like new.

I was skeptical of buying a soap bag but let me tell you it's great. My first try was like scrubbing with 60 grit sandpaper but I realized you have to let it soak in water for a few seconds and build up a lather. The more you use it the better it delivers soap instantly and it retains the soap for the next shower experience.3 sides of the bag is comfortable but the black side is still 60 grit sandpaper and don't recommend it on the face unless you want to change you identity.

There isn't much I don't like about this scrubber, it won't fit super large soaps, it will barely fit Dr squach soaps but it will do the job, anything much bigger I don't think will fit.

First love the soap, smells and feels great! Does not dry my skin while cleaning great! The bar is yuuuuggggeeee too. I cut it into about double the thickness of a hotel bar soap to help it last longer by it not getting splashed, also helps manage the shower experience. I don’t have huge hands, but they’re not small either. Was a bit much to hold onto while slippery. It lasts a very long time! The soap is a great price since it lasts so long. Soap 5 stars!!!Now the scrubby… did not enjoy it much even though I was super excited about it. It does not allow the soap to lather well and you spend a lot of time working it to get some suds going. It’s also a bit harsh on my skin. I’m not a very hairy person either, so don’t know how it does there. Scrubby 2 Stars.

Duke canyon makes great soap. I've tried all the others and they are not of the same quality. This stuff smells really nice and lasts a lot longer than the more expensive brands.

Love this instead of the shower poof! More durable and uses bar soaps. No expensive body washes needed! Highly recommend!

Bar is huge and this cover makes it easy to store, suds up nice, great product!

Great sturdy product for those who like to use bars of soap, because of its size can fit all types of soap. Helps the soap last longer and keep the soap ring from laying a bar of soap in the dish away.

This review isn't of the product itself, but the condition that it arrived in. The Duke Cannon box had previously been ripped open, and then taped back together (poorly). It was very obviously (I assume) a previously returned one. I'm not impressed, especially since I purchased this as Father's day gift and there isn't enough time to return it. Definitely need some quality control.
