I got this to keep in my computer bag for when I travel. I was surprised with how compact it is and more surprised to find that it is truly a full-sized umbrella. It's nice, compact, and convenient but it was a little awkward to close it down again for storage.Pros:+Right out of the package, it was easy to extend.+I was truly surprised at the size. I expected a smaller umbrella and this one is full-sized. Even the pole was decent sized.+It has a dark coating on the underside. I assume this is the "UV protection."+It seems sturdy, but I haven't tested it against any sort of breeze or wind.+The size is about the same size as a bottle of water. It fits easily in the side pockets of my backpack and would be good for an average size purse.Cons/Critiques:-After opening, I had a little trouble getting the fabric to fold back for the strap to secure it again. I didn't expect it to be factory-fresh, but I struggled to get it smooth enough to slide back into the sleeve for storage.

Bought this mini umbrella for my daughter, and it’s quickly become a favorite! The compact size makes it super easy to slip into her purse or backpack, so she’s always prepared for those unexpected rainy days. She loves the purple color, and the black UV coating is a nice touch for sun protection too.It’s lightweight but feels sturdy enough to handle light rain and moderate wind. Plus, it pops open easily and folds back down without a struggle. Perfect for both shade and rain!Overall, it’s a practical little umbrella that’s as cute as it is functional. 5/5 stars!

It's smallness and that it does indeed fold up pockets size (for a deep pocket anyway), are pluses. The canopy folds up a bit sloppily, but the velcro belt wraps it up alright. I don't expect this umbrella to last all the way through my 3 week vacation, but we'll see. It was cheap, so it's alright.

This is such a cute little umbrella. Folded, it's a nice size to fit in my purse. I like that the material is lined with a sun-shade so it is useful for both sun and rain. It takes some wiggling to line the wires up correctly after folding, but I expected that. It's a good umbrella, convenient for carrying around everyday, and for travel.

This is a very small, light weigh umbrella to be used in the sun or for some light rain. This umbrella is not to be used in heavy rain since it is somewhat flimsy and probably would not hold up to any rain storm. It is very small and therefore only shades one person under the umbrella and not two. This does not have one of those push buttons to open and close the umbrella like many of the umbrellas available in the market. Given this, I took one star off and that it does appear to be flimsy so I don't know how long it will last.

At a price of less than $10, this umbrella isn't as fancy as some, but who cares? I like the styling, with a black interior and a white transitioning to pale sky blue exterior, as well as the quirky rectangular handle. Like older-model umbrellas, it involves a bit more manual effort in opening and closing, but it can't be beat as far as its folded size goes, as it easily fits into a purse or a backpack for quick access when unexpected showers occur.
