Good looking lock but inconsistent with older locks of the same brand..
I purchased this lock to replace a broken older non-smart key Weiser front door lock. My plan was that the smart key feature would allow me to easily set this new lock to match all of the existing deadbolts and locking handles in the house. Unfortunately it didn't work out. The older Weiser locks have a fatter key...yep, the key wouldn't even fit into this new lock. Additionally, Weiser locks are directionally specific so a special tool is needed in order to install this on a left hand swinging door or you would have to buy one already set up for that. Ultimately I'm disappointed. For similar money Kwikset makes a lock in the exact same finish that is directionally interchangeable. It would actually cost me more to replace the three other locks with Weiser smart key than a higher grade Kwikset so I've purchased a full set of Kwikset so that all locks can match. Now if I can just sell this one...
