Acme Sponge and Chamois TS60T 3.5 sq. ft. Chamois

The product is fine... as described. Deliver was timely. Merchant sent exactly what was expected. However, had I known, I would've bought a bigger one. So, for those of you that are looking at this product to dry your car after washing it, I suggest you consider buying a larger chamois.

Excellent product and if you follow the instructions it preforms extremely well and I can see it lasting for a very long time. I only gave it three stars because it looks like I got the leftovers. My sliver of a chamois measures 6 inches wide and 20 inches long; I was expecting something closer to a square - poor quality control. But, it works and works well!

So, I ordered the 3.5 sqft chamois and was a bit nervous after reading some of the other comments. But all was good. The one I got was the right size and had all of the manufacturers packaging--I guess it depends on who the fulfillment vendor is.Once I took the time to prepare it for first use (this brand is tanned with fish oil I think), by washing and rinsing in a mild soap, it worked great!The first time I bought a chamois I had no idea how to prepare and use it, and thought it was "good to go" right out of the package. And I ended up screwing it up. It fell apart and left crappy lint everywhere and I ultimately thought that anyone that recommended one was a fool.Then a good friend of mine "showed me the way" (and it was originally a Tanner Select). Yes, you do actually have to take care of it. You have to prep it for use. You have to maintain it. You have to store it properly. And if you do those things, it will last you for years and years.The only reason I'm getting a new one because my new pup got ahold of it--and let me just say that the one thing it won't hold up to is puppy teeth...

I bought this as a protective pad between my neck and my viola, the quality is not as nice as I would like. It is very uneven, thick and thin, very thin in some spots. I will pay more and go to the local automotive store and see if I can find a better one. I will use this one in my car for foggy windows, not much good for what I wanted it for

Now this is a real sheep skin chamois, it is made in Turkey where today's best chamois come from, for ACME Chamois and Sponge, in Fla. First I washed it with mild hand soap, and rinsed it to get rid of the excess oil and hide lint. I did get quite a bit of excess oil but not much lint. I then used it on my new car. It is thick enough to pick up a great deal of water, didn't have thin spots, doesn't streak, leave lint, or leave water behind. The surface is buffed well and it is soft. After finishing I washed it, and hung it to dry. I always try to stretch a chamois while it is drying since that stretches the fibers, helps the oils to spread and it will dry soft. It came out perfectly soft when dry. This is sheep skin. I've used natural sheep skin chamois since a teenager and am now 69 years old. I can highly recommend this chamois, unlike another brand I bought, which pure junk and made in china.

I have had chamois, this one is ok for the money but its not very thick but thin and does not hold the mass amount of water I am used to. But its ok once its broken in. Ya get what ya pay for I guess.

Could be bigger, doesn't really hold that much water which makes ringing it out more frequent and takes me forever to dry the car. Prefer the old cotton towel.

It's working fine so far. The first time I used it it did leave a lot of fuzz on my car, so I recommend rinsing it thoroughly before use.
