This was easy to install and seems like it will work well. I waited until after I had the scratches to install this, but that's why I installed it. The chrome on my bumper is peeling off from a fender bender and was good at scratching skin and catching on clothes when working at the rear gate of the vehicle, and when my kids would get in and out of the car from the back. I installed this over the peeling chrome to block that, and it's working just fine so far.It may be advisable to unroll this and lay it flat, maybe with some weight on it, for a day or two before installing. But it was fairly pliable even without doing that.I do appreciate that the adhesive covering is split in the middle, so you can peel a little back at a time and work from the middle out. If you take your time on this, you can likely keep air bubbles out of it. I went pretty fast and got a few small bubbles, but I don't think it's going to affect anything.

I really wish this would have fit my car out of the box. Sadly, without some serious trimming -- almost a 1/2" in depth, it is too large for my car.It will take a bit of serious thought if I want to trim this or if I just give it away to someone else who might be able to use it. Sad really. It seems very well made. Nice thick rubber. It would have been a great add-on to my car if it fit.
