Easy to use, but difficult to see range in low light conditions. Functions well, but does not have illuminated screen, so the markings are hard to read against dark backgrounds or in low light conditions. Small design makes it easy to carry. Comes with well-fitting case. Would recommend if you are not hunting at dusk or dawn. (I am returning to get a lighted one instead).

For a cheap little range finder this thing works pretty well. If you're a beginner bowhunter or just want to range a few things out while hunting with a rifle this thing works pretty well. That being said, it does not have great eye relief so if you wear glasses you're going to have to lift your glasses up to use it. That's the only downside. I wish this thing had a better eye relief. It's really hard to try to be stealthy and take a quick range on a deer if you have to put your bow down or use one hand to lift your glasses while you use the other hand to range fine and then vice versa before grabbing a hold of your bow or rifle.

Ok, so after reading the reviews on this Aofar HX-700N laser rangefinder I figured I'd give it a shot. I have a hunting trip coming up this christmas, and wanted to give myself a bit of an edge, but didn't have the budget to spend $200 or more on a "brand name" range finder. I also didn't want to throw away $100 on a "budget" rangefinder that wasn't any good, so I shopped around. As I said, I read the reviews, and they seemed mostly positive. Upon receiving it I noticed the construction was lightweight but robust feeling. It comes with a lanyard that hooks directly to the rangefinder which can be worn around your neck for ease of use, a carry pouch with belt loop, a carabiner, and a battery. My only concern was how accurate it would be. I'm a little ocd so after receiving it I decided to put it to the test. I have a 100ft surveyors tape from lowe's, and ran it all the way out to 100ft. I hooked the start of the tape to the front bumper of my truck then stood at the 100ft mark. I aimed the rangefinder directly at the ground in front of my truck, the headlight, bumper, grille, and other parts of the front of my truck and it showed 33yds fairly consistently. 100 feet is 33.33yds, but the rangefinder only shows whole numbers, no fractions or decimals. I also tested it indoors from one wall to another wall and it accurately read 9yds, which I likewise checked against a tape measure. After those tests and a few more I can confidently say it is accurate to within 1yard. I attribute this to the fact that it only shows whole numbers, and seems to round to the nearest yard. So it may be off by +/- 1.5ft, but that's pretty damn good for an $80 rangefinder. My only real gripe would be that the crosshairs and range reading don't light up, so you can't use it in the dark. Other than that I'm quite pleased with it, and look forward to seeing how accurate it is at longer ranges (100yds plus) on my hunting trip, but I expect it will be just as accurate. I highly reccomend it to anyone looking for a quality, affordable rangefinder.

Very easy to setup and use

Worked great until it got rained on. It’s definitely not waterproof because now there’s condensation inside the front and rear lens and no longer works. If you don’t think it will ever get wet it’s a good rangefinder. If you might be in rain or moist environments look elsewhere.

Love this AOFAR 700 range finder. Perfect for 12ft/lb air rifle pest control. Nice and light to carry in the supplied case with a carabiner supplied so it can be clipped onto the gun slip or your trouser belt loop. It has a neck cord too. Very simple to use with clear LCD display and instant readings at the touch of a button. Really like the camo colours. The range it covers is more than enough for dealing with rabbits and other pests and it helps with zeroing in the rifle’s scope at 40 yards. Would be perfect for using on distances where a more powerful rifle is used. Highly recommended for a roaming shooter or when sat up in a hide as it helps to gauge hold over and hold under once you know how far away the quarry is. I use this range finder every time I go out rabbit shooting and wouldn’t be without one now. Excellent build quality and easy to use and it comes with a CR2 camera battery. Excellent value for the price compared with other brands you typically find in gun shops.

Had this Range finder a few days now and cannot really fault it. Light , Well made ,Accurate enough for every day use . I shoot Bows and am only in the 25-50 yd range , so this is perfect for my needs. Have tested it to approximately 300 yds , I don't think I will ever need it's 700 yd capability or it's Speed checking potential but I think it is very adequate for my purpose. I don't intend using it in the rain or scuba diving and checking the speed of Hammer head Sharks so if it is not 100% waterproof , it doesn't matter. All in all , it's good , works great, handy and affordable . ***** Alan P.
