Great lil handheld gaming system!
Great alternative to an expensive handheld gaming system for a 7 year old (or anyone really)! The hand held worked right out of the box. Excellent graphics for the price range. There are many games on it totally, accessible without a 'subscription'. My grandson was so excited to receive it for Christmas and hasn't stopped playing on it since! In my opinion, its an awesome product and I'm thinking of ordering another just to add to the gaming systems that I have currently!

The PS1 Lounge Play King.
This device is a comfortable, immersive, around-the-house handheld for 90's gaming. It has a cozy shape and size for lounge play, but I find it's a little too big to take out on errands or carry around with me. The 4 inch screen is a wonderful upgrade from my 3.5 inch devices, but it's just too big for portability. I find that this handheld mostly lives on a side table near my favorite gaming chair and gets play time only when I'm sitting nearby. It runs games from about 1996 and earlier very well, including most arcade games of that era. Check your N64 and Dreamcast at the door, because it's not worth the rabbit-hole to tinker town. The controls feel very nice and the build quality is commendable. Be aware that these analog sticks sit higher than most switch-style sticks and that they do encroach on the directional pad when playing d-pad centric games. You can play vertical arcade games with the device held sideways using the right analog stick and face buttons, but the comfortably rounded edges and larger screen make this device harder to hold in that configuration. I'd recommend the smaller 3.5 inch square device for that purpose. This one is awesome for PS1 gaming in your living room.

Great pick for this price range
You can't beat it at the price point I got it at ($50-60). While you can jump right in out of the box and the stock firmware is serviceable, I would recommend the custom retro Linux flavors out there to add more of a personal touch. Stock reminds me of Microsoft Zune knock-offs of the early 2010's It's size is both good and bad - no issue for smaller hands or younger eyes but both considerations keep my sessions short. But the pocketability is there The joysticks are fairly useless as true analog, but at least you can play games in generations that require analog sticks. Plays Dreamcast games shockingly well, although struggles on some N64. Everything else same gen as N64 or older works great. Also looks fantastic and build quality is good, not excellent. Pretty comparable to RG Cube XX but slightly less comfortable.

Awesome handheld retro console
This handheld is awesome for playing retro games. I've had another variation of this for a while and upgraded to the bigger screen and i love it. I also bought one for a friend as a present, and they loved it as well. I'm able to play my old school games from my youth and have them all on one device which is great! It has played every game i loaded up on it so far. I dont have any negatives for it because it does what it says it does. Would recommend!

Has less games on it than the RG35XX
I ordered one of these with the understanding it would have all the games the RG35xx has as well some N64 games.. which is why I chose to order this unit. The original unit I ordered plus the replacement amazon sent me has significantly less games than the Rg35XX which I already own. Both units firmware are out of date and for those that aren't computer savy it takes a decent amount of work to get them and transfer to the unit. I had to buy two different micro usb cards and a reader only to find out when I found the firmware there was not enough room on the lap top for the 32gb download. You also have to try and find reputable sites to download the games from and then transfer to them to the micro usb card to get them on the unit. This is a breeze I'm sure for the younger computer savy people. So while it may seem to be an upgrade over the RG35XX it is not.

Nice generic open console
This is a fun little handheld system that can keep you entertained. It does feel nice in the hands and the buttons have a nice feel and texture when clicking on them. My first device didn't work and I had to return this once. The original didn't load and the buttons didn't seem to have the right feel to them, so make sure you turn on and check this out to make sure everything is in proper working order when it is received. The games are ok, I was hoping a few different games would have been pre-loaded, and there are a lot of junk games I will never play. However, there are some fun ones already pre-loaded, so that is nice. Overall, this is a fun console, however, you'll need to know how to download and install the games to make this really worth it.

Lots of pre-loaded old games to take you down memory lane
I'm still looking through at all the pre-loaded games. So many to choose from. The controller takes a little getting used to, and with each different game the buttons don't always align (B is a A, and A is B), but it's kind of fun figuring it out. I've only been playing the pre-loaded games, so can't speak for BT pairing, and I have not tried downloading any games, nor have I tried using my own SD card. I bought this strictly for the pre-loaded games, so I can play games when there's no internet connection, or if I'm tired swiping at my phone. The controller is easy to use, very responsive, and not difficult to figure out. Lots of options, and really went down memory lane with some of these older games. Love it.
