Very fast for a thumb drive, with speeds that are as-advertised. Heavier than your typical drive and I wish they sold a version without the USB-A connector just so it would be smaller. Nice metal body and feels like a quality piece. Price for what you get is very reasonable...and did I mention it is fast? I don't understand why anyone buys the other SSD that can be selected here, the TP1 with a cord. Half the speed, bigger, and costs about the same. The mini drive is the better deal.

Had this drive for 18 months now. If you plug it into an old USB port, don't expect advertised speeds. However, if it is plugged into a modern computer with a modern standard, I've seen 900MB a second transfer rates. Note: sometimes, during long transfers, the drive slows to basically nothing for thirty or so seconds before starting up again. Probably clearing the cache or something. Very durable metal case. EDIT: The cap for the USB-C connector warped and came off, and there is now no way to protect that from pocket lint etc. Removing 1 star. I LOVE this drive! EDIT 2: Even with the removed USB-C cap, the drive has survived one trip into the washing machine in full working order. I will update if it suddenly stops working.

Ridiculous! The item received was not new, and it is not in new condition! It has clearly used by someone else and this is being re-sold as new when it isn't. The packaging bottom tape was re-sealed, the first clue that someone used it before me. The proof it's already been used is it has been powered on 8 times according to CrystalDiskInfo. It has a 'System Volume Information' folder on it which was created by somebody elses Windows OS dated 05-14-2024, however I just received it on 08-07-2024 at 8:30AM. The see through plastic window is scratched and scuffed, and the metal body housing has an obvious spot where the finish is worn off like the drive was smacked against something hard. This was my first ever TimeTec purchase and I'm not impressed one bit due to the condition of the SSD drive! I'll be returning this as it's not worth the $28.99 I paid with the condition it's in, and I won't bother with a replacement, and I will instead buy an SSD stick drive from a different brand where I actually do get NEW products sent rather than being sold someone else's already used item that has very obvious wear and tear on it.

I really like this drive. While it's slightly bigger than a traditional USB Flash drive, the capacity and speed make up for it. I think it's cool you can see the hardware inside, and very handy to have both USB-C and USB-A options built-in with no separate adapter required (which would certainly get misplaced).

This is alarmingly convenient and fast. While it may not be quite as fast as other SSDs it is certainly fast enough and blows all other USB keys out of the water by a wide margin. I consistently get 600+mb/s write speed sustained. Crystalmark 9 says I should be able to get over 900mb/s. Limiting factors seem to be more related to the device I'm plugging it into rather than the drive itself. Extremely convenient for transferring files to my phone, or using as an ISO install/boot drive with YUMI. I got a 2nd 256GB for family as a present and it has become their exclusive ISO install drive.
