A very good dash cam
After I was rear-ended in a chain reaction accident in April, I decided I wanted to get a dash cam in case I was ever hit again. I knew I wanted a 4-channel dash cam to view from all angles but not too expensive and with good reviews. I was originally looking at Driveye’s older model and it had a good price, features that I liked, and good reviews with very little complaints. However later when I had the money to order it, it was no longer in stock. I had to search for another dash cam and the first one to show up in the search was Driveye’s new model D7-4CH. It has new features, appears to take up less space than the older model and currently has a good price. This is a very nice 4-channel dash cam, Driveye packaged it very well and includes everything you need to install it. It has a well written manual that covers everything on installing and using the dash cam. The installation was not difficult at all, although it takes some time if you want to tuck the cables behind the plastic covers in your car.The only small gripe I have, is the back camera comes with two mounts. One for interior mounting and one for exterior mounting. Trying to screw either mount onto the rear camera is a little tricky because the screws are so small, and the little screwdriver included does not have a magnetic tip to hold the screw while you try to get it started. So, it takes a bit to hold the mount to the camera, get the tiny screw in the hole and put the screwdriver on the screw without it falling out in the process until you get it screwed in.It has been hot and muggy (90 with a heat index of 98) lately where I live and this camera even with the sun beating down on it and the interior of the car hot, has worked flawlessly with no shutdowns or crashes. It uses a button or coin battery that recharges and can withstand heat much better than a lithium battery which has the potential to catch fire. I also like that when it is in the 4-channel operation the front camera is 3.5k instead of 2k or even 1080P. I don’t have the 24 Hr. parking monitoring set up yet so I can’t comment on that yet.The app appears to be a little bland and simplistic, so not all the dash cam options are in the app, for some you must go into the camera itself. There has been some people that had issues with the app, but I think the app was updated because so far, I have had no glitches or issues with the app.To register for the 18-month warranty, just e-mail your Amazon order number, your name and the date of purchase to their e-mail address. You can also let them know if you want to be put on their notification for when they release firmware updates for the camera. Their customer service was very quick to respond when I registered for the 18-month warranty and when I had a question. In both cases, they responded to me within a few hours. They are also very easy to communicate with and are very nice.As with all products, the big test will be to see how long this dash cam will last. However, as of right now I am happy with the D7-4CH, and I recommend it if you are looking to buy a 4-channel dash cam.

Nice Dash Cam
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the video on this camera. Installation, especially with the rear camera was a breeze. I installed it on a Honda Pilot and it was easy to run the wire. The video playback is crystal clear and I love that you can connect to it with the app on your phone so you can play back video on the phone without pulling the SD card. For the money, it’s a great deal. It is compact and barely noticeable. I also like that the screen on the camera goes black so it doesn’t distract you from driving.

Easy to set-up
I love the Dash camera. I like the 4 different cameras that it has, it protects you all around your vehicle. I love how the Wifi is easy to setup in minutes. I had a problem and customer service was quick in helping me resolve it. Great buy for the money as well. You won't be disappointed with this camera.

Somewhat simple to install
This product is a good product, it does provide good video and picture quality. There are some complications with installation, however. When installing the rear camera on the outside of the car, I had to use the bracket that was meant for the inside of the car due to it making the camera more able to move out of the way of the bracket when mounting it to my car. I ran the wire as it says to through the side of the car and into the trunk. The only thing I will have trouble with is when I get around to connecting the backup camera feature to the reverse light. I will have to connect more wire to the one there due to my mount has to be on the trunk lid and the cord for the camera is a bit short from where it connects to the line to the car.The other issue I have is that the recording is too short. I would have made it possible to select at least 30-minute increments so that when you want to review footage, you don't have to scroll down a bit if you are out on the road for a long time. When downloading the video, it takes forever to do so, and you HAVE TO STAY ON THE DOWNLOAD SCREEN, WITH THE CAR ON! I went out for a drive for about 45 minutes to an hour and when I came back, I went to download it and sat in my car for at least 15 to 20 minutes waiting on the footage to complete. I got to a certain point and gave up on waiting and stopped downloading. The voice commands are easy enough and the camera responds almost immediately to a command. The one thing I did notice that when calling up the camera feeds that there was no command for the two inside cameras, nor when you want to switch to say things like the dashboard that shows you your speed and direction. I think it would have been a great feature to be able to call up either one of those without having to go into the menu and manually select the dashboard or pressing a button to call up the two inside cameras.I am very curious as to what the CH2 is on the camera as well. I noticed that there was a QA sticker on it covering it up, so I took it off to find another port. However, I am unsure as to what it would have been used for. The port that is for the back camera is too small for the CH2 port, so I am sure another camera is not able to connect to it. If it was up to me, I would have made the port for like a front grill camera so you can record anything that is lower than the car and out of your view.
