Overly Complicated Drink System with Strong Stevia Taste
The Vitapod bottle itself is impressive. I was surprised by the high quality of it. It's a double insulated metal bottle. I like my water cold. It keeps ice frozen for hours without sweating condensation on the outside. The outside of the bottle doesn't feel any colder when it's full of icy water. The bottle's weak point is its cap. It comes with two caps: one with a straw and one without. It The lid without a straw has a nice handle on a hinge, though the handle and the hinge don't seem that strong. I can see this being the first part of the cap that breaks, and when it does, I hope I'm not wearing open toed shoes. I washed the bottle and both lids in the dishwasher upon its arrival. Unfortunately, the straw started warping in that first run through the dishwasher. The lids both just feel flimsy. The lid without the straw doesn't even fit on the bottle without the pod-twister attachment thingie, meaning one for piece to clean even when you're not using it for Vitapods. Unfortunately, the bottle has a narrower mouth than a Yeti or Tervis bottle, so I can't even swap out the Vitapod lid for one of those. Overall, I give the bottle 3/5.Now for the Vitapods themselves. This Starter Bundle came with hibiscus flavored pods. I love the taste of hibiscus, so I was excited to try them out. The Hibiscus Vitapod tastes a lot like Vitamin Water's XXX Unfortunately, the Vitapods have a very strong stevia taste to them. YMMV, but I'm not a fan of stevia, so the taste and the aftertaste really got to me. That stevia taste lingers on the tongue. If you like XXX and don't mind stevia, you'll probably enjoy this. The mix mixes easily using the a special part of the cap that opens the pod when you twist the lid closed. It both mixes with the water when you shake the bottle, and mixes as the water passes through the pod on its way to your mouth. The whole mixing system seems both fascinating and pointless. It just seems a bit overly complicated to me. The pods seem wasteful and unnecessary, as does the special cap release system. This would be much easier if it was just a pouch of mix that users portioned out. The pods make it unnecessarily complicated, wasteful and expensive. The kit does come with a USPS baggie so that you can mail them back to the company for recycling, but who wants to hold onto a month's supply of pods? Vitapods flavor: 2/5. Vitapods ease of use: 1/5.The best part of the Vitapod Bundle is the bottle.

Easy to use. It is an investment that may make you remember to drink water throughout the day!
I like the concept of this. The price makes me think hard. Drinking water on my own is much less expensive. The small amounts of additives mirror some of what I take in pills each morning. Using this system is a bit like the Peloton-effect. If you put that much money into it, you will feel compelled to follow through on healthy choices. This botte is easy to use. The folder that comes with it shows a stand of sorts, that it looks like the metal water-bottle could stand in. The stand is not necessary to use the bottle and I do not see where the pictured stand would be purchased separately. The two tops come with the purchase an allow me to break and shake the pod of flavor and additives into the water bottle and then switch to the straw bottle top.

Good flavor, but bottle has issues
This system is really easy to use. Just fill it up with water, insert the pod, close the cap to break the pod, shake and mix. I got the raspberry hibiscus flavor and it tastes great. It's on the milder side, but I like the fact that it doesn't have any sugar. The bottle has a sleek black finish. I wish it was transparent in a vertical slit or completely, so you could see the amount of water level. Not really an issue, but would be a nice feature. My issue is with the lid. It keeps spinning and doesn't close completely. This means when I shake the bottle, the liquid leaks out. It doesn't spray out but oozes out. I have to use a kitchen towel around the lid to make sure I don't make a mess. Not ideal. Also, because it is not a good fit, it causes the water to not retain its temperature. Shame!

Taste is good, bottle stays cold. Pods are meh...
The first thing I noticed was the beautifully printed booklet describing the different flavors, ingredients, and what each pod flavor is intended to be used for. One big thing was missing.... the instructions! I went back to the original listing. I finally figured it out.I must say, I am not a fan of this system. The bottle is well made and keeps my drinks cold a long time! It fits in my car's cup holder. It comes with two different tops. One has a straw sip top. The other is the two-part pod system. The idea is to put a pod upside down in the basket and attach the top - the one with the screw on cap. You should hear a pop! That releases the powder into the water, and then you shake to mix. I find this process very unnecessary and unsanitary. I much prefer to open the pod and just pour it in! Drinking the drink through the little hole in the middle of the pod is too slow for me.Let's talk about the flavor! I chose the raspberry hibiscus beauty+ pod. The flavor is refreshing, not too sweet or strong. Add more or less water to suit your taste. The bottle holds 22 Oz. That is a good amount for the amount of powder from the pod. I usually throw in about 4 or 5 ice cubes.I like the ingredients, including collagen, biotin, fruit powders, as well as other vitamins and minerals. I do not experience a nasty aftertaste with this product. In conclusion, I think this is a fun concept, but it really is unnecessary.I like the fact that they provided two different kinds of tops to drink from. I might consider purchasing packets of these healthy flavors in the future but not in their present pod form. The stainless steel water bottle is nice.

Nice bottle with great flavor pods.
This is a nice stainless steel bottle that comes with two different lids, one with a straw and another one with a spout, which is the one that attaches to the pod holder. The pods are small, easy to insert upside down into the bottle and once you attach the lid you hear the pod pop open to dispense the powder, then simple shake and enjoy. If the pod fails to open or you don’t have the bottle handy you can just open the pod and just add to your water. The beauty + hydration has a very pleasant raspberry hibiscus flavor with no aftertaste and I like the added vitamins, collagen, antioxidants and minerals. This is a great way to get extra beauty benefits while staying hydrated.
