Liked it, it did the job but too noisy

Decided not to use

Working ok with my tv and I am very pleased with the picture quality

I have a LG Smart TV that will not accept a USB stick to record live programmes (so if you have an LG Smart TV, ignore the instructions where it says it can accept a USB stick, because it can not), so I purchased this for this reason only. At first when I received it, I thought it was weird that there were what seemed like movable bits inside, but realised that the outer casing is to keep it cool and the device is actually inside this casing (well that's what I think anyway :-). It is a simple plug and play, so when you connect to your smart TV and turn it on. You then just follow your TV instructions to record your programmes. Allowed me to live pause, rewind and play also. The device is quiet and flashes when it is recording, is reasonably priced, so overall am pleased with the product so far.

Purchased to record programs from LG TV. It records programs you are watching as soon as you change chanel the recording stops.

I think this Hard Drive is excellent. It's such a pity that Samsung software can't support it properly. Having read other reviews from Customers who have had similar issues to myself, I believe my problems can be resolved by downloading new firmware from Samsung's website (fingers crossed!), I just have not bothered to do this so far. Currently I can only make instant recordings, Scheduled recordings don't work! Strange, because they did when I first installed the Sonnics Hard Drive. I am certain that the Sonnics Hard Drive is blameless in all this, so I can recommend this product.

Good value, easy to use. But, as other reviewers said, it is very noisy. I find I have to keep it switched off when not actually in use, because of the loud noise it makes. Hence 4 stars.
