Good Compact Digital Scale

For a low cost digital scale, it is a good value. Easy to use, good selection of weight measurements, calibration and zero function. It's battery powered so it can be used anywhere. When measuring in Grains (gn) I found that the tenth (0.0) varies slightly. Have to make sure there are no fans on and shielded while taking measurements due to the sensitivity. Even with this it can fluctuate 0.1 - 0.5 gn. Not a major issue with the type of measurements that I am performing. Overall a good scale for the money.

I would give it zero stars if I could

I purchased this based on other reviews stating it is very accurate and a good scale to use for the purposes of hand loading. I sat down to use it today only to discover that it is horribly inconsistent.I would get .3 - .7 grain differences in readings from the same pan. I basically ended up weighing each single charge at least 5 times in order to get the same reading to show up more than once. Then basically had to assume an average from those 5. Not what you want to be doing when hand loading. It would also lose the zero every 5 pans or so, requiring it to be reset.I zeroed it multiple times within a few hours of use as I had zero confidence in the readings I was seeing.I will not be using it any more for this and may actually return it due to the fact it performs so poorly. If you do not need accurate readings then it will be fine for you, but if you do not need accurate readings, why are you buying the scale to start with?

Adequate. Not for pistol reloading

Directions are well laid out. Does an acceptable job weighing full grain weight loads. Does not hold calibration to 1/10 of a grain weights. Each measured load can be between 0.3 -0.5 grains off. Works very well for rifle load weights. Not the best for pistol load weights. All-in-all its a good value.

was not accurate

Was not accurate and I sent this back for repair or replacement.company returned it and said there were no issues. well, it was of no use to me at this point so I replaced it with Hornady G3-1500 and could not be happier so do not waste your money on this one.

Best little digital scale I've found.

Waited several weeks to give review, I wanted to use it for a while. I'll have to say, I love it. Works very well. Easy to calibrate. Box is sturdy and will protect the scale when not in use. Hard plastic cover will do the same if you leave it out. I've used it single stage, weighing each powder charge and setting up a case activated powder thrower. I've checked accuracy against a beam scale and it's been spot on. I've seen lower reviews on much pricier units. Give it a go, I think you'll be impressed. Can't beat the price. Easy to use, instructions are clear. Good job Marksman.

Very Nice Scale

The Truweigh Marksman Digital Reloading Scale is my third scale and I believe my search has ended. This scale has been very accurate and I really like the large pan is a big plus. The instructions to calibrate and operate are easy to follow and I have confidence my powder drops are weighed accurately. If you are looking for an electronic scale for reloading that is economically priced for a very good product, look no further.

Inexpensive scales are just not accurate enough

I have purchased a number of inexpensive electronic scales over the years. Apparently, my expectations for these scales are simply unrealistic. Like most others, this scale will give different readings when you lift and re-set the powder pan. Usually the variation is 0.2 grains or less but, occasionally, it will be off by 0.3 grain. This is not different from most of the other scales I own. I would have kept it but, after a few days, it started displaying "Lo" on the screen. Nowhere in the manual does it say what "Lo" means but I assumed it meant Low Battery. But, when I tested the batteries, they showed good. I am returning it.Note: I have both RCBS and Lyman check weights which is how I test for accuracy. I have a beam scale whose accuracy is perfect but, if you're loading cartridges in any but the smallest quantities, the beam scale is awfully slow. At this point, I believe the only way I will get the speed and accuracy I want is to get an electronic balance beam scale where the weight in the pan is opposed by electromagnetic force. These scales are both incredibly accurate and incredibly expensive.
