These have a nice matte finish for interior shelving projects. Seller did great with the packaging; the individual wraps preserved the paint finish perfectly during shipping.These are way better for interior non-plumbing projects than the oily black pipe you get at the big box stores. It's convenient to be able to just take them out of the box and use them in your project without any prep or painting.As you can see, the sprayer hit some of the threads on some of these. I don't think it will affect the intended usage for this product. They still fit nicely into the decorative 3/4 flanges.Product description makes no mention of them being used for water, gas, or exterior. For their intended purpose, as decorative but decently strong interior supports, I think they will work perfectly.Compression-wise, as vertical supports under shelves, I think you could put a decent amount of weight on these. Even screwed into flanges on the wall that are secured into studs, I think these would make decent shelf supports, to an extent. If you intend on putting very heavy loads on these with the wall/flange scenario, where the flange and a horizontal pipe is the ONLY thing holding the weight (no other support underneath), it may pay off to do some testing first.On a lot of the industrial shelf designs I've seen, there is a wall-connected flange and pipe, AND the shelves are connected to each other vertically with flanges and pipes. Not only is this a great look, but it's also a lot stronger, especially at the outer edge of the shelves away from the wall.

The pipes are well made and work well in standard 3/4 inch fittings. I have put them under 100lbs of strain and they have not shown any signs of deformation. I would recommend these and use them in my own projects.

These 3/4” (1” outside diameter) pipe nipples are nicely painted and packaged. They could be suitable for light fixtures or as a vertical shelf support or decorative use.The listing description described these as heavy duty. They are actually much thinner and lighter than standard 3/4” threaded steel pipe. The wall thickness looks close to 1/16” or a bit more than 1mm. Looks thicker in pictures because the edge is rolled in from the factory cut.

What I expected was ten sections of black pipe with threaded ends, since that is what I would receive from the local hardware store for a similar price.What I received was a package of ten individually padded sections of pipe, each exactly 13" in length, with 1/2" of clean threads at either end. There is no oil or residue on the pipes, and the durable paint job has a clean, matte black finish. I was impressed with the professional fit and finish of these pipes. They will make for fine-looking, high-strength structural components of industrial-themed furniture.

Very nicely packaged each individually wrapped in foam. All the threads had the correct depth as I can spin a fitting on the end in 2 and a half turns.Very nice deal! Great value!
