Overall heating and everything is fine, but the racks do not sit properly inside the oven and have a tendency to fall

The temperature control and heat distribution is bad. There is uneven heating. The customer care is not of Morphy Richard’s. It is done by Bajaj and they don’t bother at all despite repeated complaints. From the beginning, it gave more temperature than what i set it to. For example, if I set it to 160, it actually gave 190-200 degrees in thermometer. Ended up burning so many items in the beginning because of it. Customer care offered no resolution.

When I first bought it, the temperature was off by almost 50-60°C, which was odd, but I still tried to work with it by setting the knob accordingly, because even after contacting the customer service, nobody came for repair. But recently, the lower rod doesn't heat at all, the thermostat is definitely broken. Even when I set the knobs at both rods on and 250°C, the temperature does not go above 90-100°C! It's quite impossible to use a oven that cannot even heat upto 150°C. I am a home baker running a successful small business, and the oven is the backbone of my business. I have tried calling Customer Care atleast 10 times. They even sent a technician to check twice, they changed the thermostat once and the oven still does not work!

I have used this oven for baking cakes, breads, buns, cookies & pizzas. I have also used it for grilling fish, vegetables (skewers), rotisserie chicken and toasting. Overall the quality of baking/ grilling is outstanding. Completely customizable in terms of selecting the functions and good performance till now. Fan/ convection & rotisserie have separate switches. Keep war function is missing, though mentioned in literature. Temperature range starts from 100 degree celcius and goes up-to 250 degrees, though I would have like it starting from 50 degrees which could have been useful for keeping warm. Looks sturdy and should last a long. Inserting racks & trays are sometimes tricky and could be smoother. Also the wire rack has a center wire running in vertical which takes away the balance while using pans & trays. They should have designed it better. I use another wire to balance the cake pans or else the cakes will also be slightly tilted. Stainless steel finish is good in terms of looks and ease of cleaning. Fit & finish is good and above average. 60L is a good size for baking 2 8" cakes on the same rack and 2/3 pizzas in one go and will come in handy for a family of 4+. Visibility into the chamber is poor due to mirror finished glass door. Temperature & timer knob could have been marked with more values for precise setting. For temperature the settings are 100. 150, 200, 250 due to which setting temperature in between these ranges quite tricky. Similar is the case with timer. I would have preferred one more baking wire rack and the one which comes has skewer racks on one side. I will definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to buy a decent sized OTG in India.

Ordered this product twice and it came damaged both times. First time around it was heavily dented and second time the feet of the oven were uneven and didn’t function at all. Quality control at Morphy Richard’s seems to be non existent
