Shower Riser – 62″

Of everything I ordered, this is the thing that has just done it's job. It is what it is. Simple, straightforward. In the end I even decided to forego a spout and hook this straight to the wall with some pipe. Can fill the tub with dang shower head. Works great, and plumbed straight the pressure is GREAT with the shower head I got.

Great riser. The threads did seem a bit banged up on the straight end, but they worked. Note that pipe diameters are typically for the interior of the pipe, so it's difficult to identify what clamp size will match the exterior diameter of the riser. The riser threads do not have a constant external diameter, as they appear to be tapered with a standard 1 to 16 taper used for water pipe. I was able to transition to a standard shower head using an Amazon 1/2" Male x 3/8" Female Thread Reducer Bushing Pipe Fitting, Adapter, Stainless steel SS 304 NPT. For my setup I used one bushing at each end of the riser.I bought the suggested LASCO 08-1099 bracket for attaching the riser, and if fit the riser, but with its 1/8 inch diameter stem I found it was wobbly at the wall base, and it had no set screw to hold the riser in place vertically. I then bought from Amazon a T&S Brass B-0109-06 Wall Bracket, 3" Wall Bracket Assembly with Mounting Hardware (other lengths than 3" are available). That bracket's stem is a tube of about 1/2 inch diameter (4 times greater), so was far more stable; the bracket also screwed down to clamp onto the riser to hold it vertically in place, the clamp allowing easier removal and replacement, so I was far more satisfied with the result for my purposes.

Looks good. Works with SuperWhole 1/2" Male x 3/8" Female Thread Reducer Bushing Pipe Fitting SS 304 NPT to adapt to fit a standard 1/2 inch shower head.Chrome finish is decent and overall this item is just what I needed to refit my shower for the retro look I was after.

I ordered this riser with the Barclay faucet for my clawfoot tub. The first one delivered was bent at right angles and unusable. Amazon made good and delivered me a replacement within a couple of days. I had to cut it a bit to fit my odd ceiling, but no big deal.More important to note is that the tubing is 3/8 inch and the standard size for shower heads is 1/2". You will need a 3/8" to 1/2" bushing to make this riser work. Fortunately, I was able to salvage a bushing from the riser it replaced and it worked fine.

I ordered this product to replace a flimsy three-piece shower riser. The product description was vague enough to make me think this was one piece. Nope, this looks the same as the old one, with two tubes connected by a coupling in the middle. This design is weak and will surely fail in a few years.

Works just fine and fits well with the new faucet we got. My boyfriend is really tall and kept splashing water over the shower enclosure for our claw-foot tub when he showered. This riser allowed us to bring the shower enclosure up higher so that it's not a problem anymore.

Good value. Note this is 3/8th inch size. I had to swing by the hardware store to pick up some converters. The shower head was 1/2 inch and attaching it to the facet was some other size. It works really well after picking up the parts, it's just a weird size.
