Lovely Tea - But Read Up Before You Brew Up For A Better Experience
We drink a lot of tea! Black, Green, White, Fruit - the list goes on... So, when the 'SRILUXE - Luxury Blooming Flower Tea - 18 Assorted Premium Blooming Tea' product came on the Vine Program we thought it would be a good product to review.Initial impressions are good - the box looks like a quality product; the three sets of teas are wrapped exactly as the internet product page. However:It would have nice however, to know which flavours correspond to which coloured wrapper - it says on the back that there are 6x3 different selections of teas, but it doesn't identify which is which. The back of the box illustrates the 'art of a blooming tea ritual', but only tells you to pour on 45ml of hot water over one ball - not what temperature it should be - green teas shouldn't have boiling water poured on (like your standard everyday cuppa), 80-90˚is usually recommended.A big feature of flower teas such as these are that they can be used at least twice - there is no indication of that anywhere on the packaging. Edit: we have now used one flower ball SIX times and it is still refreshing!Once the 3-5 minutes steeping is up, the tea tastes very pleasant, delicate, and not bitter. It tasted just as nice on the second brew! The flower didn't grow quite as the product picture, but that was probably the size of my teapot - the next one will be a smaller sized pot.The tea itself is 5 🌟, but the lack of information regarding the best way to enjoy the tea rather lets down the experience. Hence the 4 🌟 only.

Lovely way to make tea
The tea is in a lovely box, which explains on the back on how to prepare it. Inside are the flowers wrapped individually into balls, with three set of colours. To make the tea, add 450 mL of hot water over a ball, steep for 3-5 minutes (of which I did the full 5) and then pour. It’s very soothing and relaxing watching the flower open up, and once pictured, it gave a very pale amber colour, with the taste being very subtle. However, as other reviews have stated, I had no idea what the flower was, or what it should taste like as there is no card inside explaining which colour relates to which flower. They could have either added as a separate card, or printed on the back next to the names.

visual effect, with little focus on ingredient quality or origin; prioritised appearance over taste
This box of blooming tea, or flowering tea, offers a visually captivating experience. When steeped in hot water, the dried green tea leaves and edible flowers slowly unfurl, creating a beautiful blooming effect in the teapot. Each bulb, tightly bound and wrapped in foil, contains tea leaves tied around one or two central flowers. Before steeping, the tea bulbs give off a faint, vegetal scent, slightly earthy. However, once brewed, the aroma does not develop as expected. I had anticipated herbaceous notes from the green tea and a sweet floral fragrance from the flowers, but these were absent. In terms of flavour, the green tea is very light, with a mild grassy touch and a hint of bitterness. Unfortunately, I couldn't distinguish the floral qualities—whether chrysanthemum or amaranth, there was no floral sweetness, nor any subtle malty notes. Each tea bulb tasted much the same, without the variety or complexity I had anticipated.Having enjoyed other flowering teas before, I have to say this particular one falls short of the quality offered by other brands. The tea liquor lacks the smooth, clean texture I expected, leaving a slightly rough sensation on the palate.Additionally, the absence of detailed ingredient information on the packaging raises concerns. It suggests a lack of attention to quality or sourcing, and there is a risk the tea may contain artificial flavours, colours, or preservatives, which could affect health benefits. From my experience, this brand seems to prioritise aesthetic appeal—the blooming effect—over the actual quality of the tea. While it is certainly a lovely spectacle, it comes across more as a decorative novelty than a good quality product.Taking into account the tea's presentation, aroma, and flavour, I find it hard to recommend this product, as the overall quality is average at best.

Great idea for a gift
I have never come across the blooming flower tea experience before, but what a treat. What attracted me was the beautiful/luxurious looking white branded box which is ideal for gifting. Inside the box there are 18 balls of this blooming flower tea (green tea) wrapped in gold red and silver foil. The presentation is really second to none. Each tea bulb consists of a bundle of dried tea leaves, meticulously hand-tied around dried flowers. It is important to have a glass tea pot to see the bundle expand, emulating a blooming flower, once dropped in hot water. It is very pretty. The result is a lovely pale golden orange infusion with a fresh, floral aroma and delicate and sweet flavour.I particularly like the floral passion however the assortment offers a variety of enjoyable flavours, based on green tea, 100% natural and low in caffeine. It’s a real treat and a great idea as a gift for tea lovers.
