Tough 1 Deluxe Rifle Scabbard

This is the nicest one I've ever seen outside of John Wayne movies. I didn't expect it to be so high quality. Its like a baseball glove dying to be broke in. The tanning on the leather and the out of the box feel is silky smooth but stiff leather and tight. 100 years from now it'll still be doing the job I gave it. Think a small handle and a nose cover will be something I do to customize for my needs. Another snap possibly. I can't even believe the price for how sweet is. If you don't have a saddle you will have to figure out how you are gonna strap it on. Thanks who ever made this great job! Might get another one....might get a horse.

Real leather! Well made, needs lots of conditioning and breaking in.It will only fit guns without any extras items, scopes and such.Even if you customize it yourself it’s worth it.

Must have been one of the lucky ones -- my scabbard shipped in a full-length box, was not folded, and was definitely made of real, new leather. The entire product was clearly brand new.For me, it was perfect. My Wolf-brand muzzleloader fit in the scabbard perfectly, HOWEVER, this rifle is VERY short and just generally small. Not positive of the barrel length but my husband's was about 4 inches longer and would not have fit in the scabbard well at all. I was able to fit mine in the scabbard with the padded shoulder strap attached, though, so that was nice. If you were considering this for a rifle with a scope--click "back" now and keep shopping.The straps are stiff, but this is to be expected with new leather. The buckles were good. There is a left/right distinction when buying the product but, really, you can change the straps around and put it on whichever side you prefer. The snap on the butt flap is, as other reviewers said, completely worthless. I ended up prying it out and just putting a tie through it.The scabbard survived and still looks new after a 9 day horseback elk hunting trip in the Colorado back country. It fit under my stirrup nicely and had no extra bulk to create discomfort to my knee.4 stars because of the snap on the flap being junk and the super small size. For the price, though, and my specific needs, it was perfect.

Good case very well made. I had to return mine due to it won’t hold a scoped rifle I wanted it to. I hated to return it.

Based on published measurements it should have fit my rifle. But it was too small. It was also made a thiner than expected leather. Certainly not thick saddle leather.

Th came just as described a heavy thick leather saddle holster for a lever action carbine. Can’t wait to slather it up with mink oil and let it conform to my Winchester 92

quality product. would be 5 stars but I ordered a right handed scabbard but left handed arrived which affects how I now fit the rifle to the saddle.

I wanted this to safely carry a rifle on my ranger. This is perfect. Fits a 336 but nothing larger.

My wife wanted to try scabbard on her horse so she could carry her rifle while in our bush in case it is required. The product arrived within the specified time frame and the seller provided the shipping details the day it was delivered. The quality of the leather is good and should hold up to the use it will get. However; as you will see from the pictures, the leather does not look as advertised in the product picture. It had a number of scuffs and appears worn in places. Part of the wear on the leather appears to be from being folded during shipping. All in all it appears that it will meet our requirement for a trial scabbard and potentially longer. That said, the quality of the finish definitely needs some work.
