RARE 5 Stars.....BUT!
The media could not be loaded. First off, just so you know where all this is coming from, I am a Contractor and Business Owner. I have years of experience with tooling both brand name and “off brand” or generic. With this particular set of Miter Shears I can see that O’Shine has made a CLEAR Effort to better a product they have already offered and made, in particular, one REALLY HELPFUL UPGRADE to these shears. That upgrade is the “longer handles for large hands” and it is spectacular when combined with the rest of this tool’s design features. The longer handles make handling and positioning very easy but they also make cutting through materials MUCH more COMFORTABLE and EASY. Even with steady pressure just held the cutters will continue through the cut almost effortlessly. What I mean by that is when making a cut and getting a portion of the way through and hitting a “wall” that alllmost stops me and would otherwise make me reposition my hand or grip and then give it a real good squeeze….with these, instead, I just hold steady pressure, increase it slightly without getting a new grips or preparing for hand pain and a stronger squeeze and just allow the slight increase in pressure to work with time and it goes right through every time. They come with a super sharp blade installed and I REALLY LIKE the extra blad that is included! Super helpful to be able to hot swap and keep on working and then when I have time come back to touch up the blade if needed, while it NOT on the tool! Makes sharpending easier. The grips are really grippy and a comfortable texture to work with over and over again. The give no vibes of being badly made or going to fall apart or peel off or twist on the handles. The miter fence is SUPER fast and easy to adjust and the detents are set pretty nice on the tool. The table is easy to see and ready and it is easy to see when the material passes the tip of the set angle so as not to waste materials while working along. These shears feel SOLID and Im not just saying that because it is a “VINE ITEM.” They are genuinely well built shears that cut really well. The only negative is a negative that all these shears with this shape blade suffer from. Being that the back side of the cut is always longer by hair than where the cut started and that is due to the shape of the blade and just something that comes with the territory when using this type of tool and is not a hit against this particular set of shears. These are much better than the other 2 that I already have on the job trailer and in the shop and also way better than the ones I was looking at buying in the big box store about a week and a half ago.I really like these and how heavy duty they feel. For thinner materials a perfect miter cut every time and for thicker stuff, still a very good and accurate cut with only the back side needing a little relief to fit flush, same as every pair I have ever used with this blade style. Cutting is effortless in comparison with others and the longer handles are long enough to be genuinely helpful but not so long that the tool becomes cumbersome or difficult ot handle. I would recommend this one 100% and I would order this exact pair of shear again if a need were to arise. Out of all the ones I have used over the years these, with the spare blade are top 2, and might be number 1 because at my age I might just be mis-remembering how good that other “lost” pair was from years ago. Thick or thin stock, these can handle it and the cuts are perfect to easy manageable to perfect. A++++ shears. Would recommend for sure. Good stuff.

Love this tool
The media could not be loaded. O'Shine Long Handle Miter Shears are amazing! These very handy miter shears work great and cut through trim seamlessly. I have some very bored flat doors I have been wanting to add trim to, but have been too intimidated to tackle the job because using a saw and miter box seemed so labor intensive. These shears will get the job done much faster and neater since they cut a very clean edge. Great tool for any DIY'er

Very sturdy
These are better quality than the cheaper ones I get at the flooring store. This has the same feel as a Crain model. Comes with an extra blade, they are heavy duty. I was able to cut oak shoemold without any issues, depending on the grain of the wood. Also has an adjustable degree arm so you can make cuts accordingly.

Easy to USE with Arthritic hands!!!
I was a little skeptical about this purchase and if they would work for my needs. They are fabulous and easy for me to use with my arthritic hands....wished I would have found these shears sooner.

They work!
I still can't entirely believe it, but these shears actually work. I felt sure that these would leave a splinter-y cut, but the reviews I read before ordering seemed to be from satisfied customers, and as they look like they should be hugely useful I gave them a try. They really do the job they're supposedto do on small pieces of trim and the like--the sort of cuts you really don't want to have to get the miter saw set up for. They've turned out to be a really worthwhile purchase.

Cheaper Set, but work.
I got this to use with some thin basswood strips and a few pieces of 1/8' dowels. It worked great for quite a while, I would estimate around 100 cuts. I started noticing that things were getting loose around that point and things started getting more difficult to cut, and weren't cutting quite as straight as they were in the beginning.Overall though, I would say this is a good tool for very light use. I would spend a little more to get a higher-end one for heavy use, though.

Great Hand Tool
I'm in the middle of renovating my home and adding new window trim, baseboards, and crown molding to all the rooms. This little hand tool is absolutely perfect for the thin accent trim pieces I'm using. It's much easier to use than running to the miter saw every 2 seconds and doesn't produce sawdust to clean up.The shears are comfortable in hand and easy to use. I love the common angles being transcribed on the tool for easy use and consistent cuts. I was impressed with the cleanness of the cut, I've used this both on PVC and wood and the results were both good quality.Overall, this is a handy tool to have and is really good quality. I would highly recommend this to any one who regularly does any DYI projects around their home.
