In this 40+ C heat, food can spoil easily. These packs were easy to hydrate and store without any trouble in the freezer. I haven't had the opportunity to use them in the ice box yet but have been using them as a heat pack to warm muscles before physiotherapy. The pack takes only about 1 1/2 minutes in a microwave to be sufficiently warm and holds the heat well. I have already given the information and links to the physiotherapist who was interested in it. I'm also using it right now with a towel wrapped around it to keep my laptop cool as it kept overheating.
