Tamagotchi Original - Pink Glitter (Updated Logo)

The nostalgia is real! This Tamagotchi is gen 1 and it is very pretty. It has pink flowers and it is so much fun to relive this memory from when I was a kid. If you remember Tamagotchi's from your childhood, these are what you are thinking of. This is not a new one so if you are looking for a new version this is not it. This is a recreation from the 90's and I am so beyond happy they made a comeback. Cuteness! The little alien is so cute! You care for it and feed it and can even play a game with it. Be careful not to neglect it though because they can die, but you can also reset it if it dies too. Have fun with your new virtual pet! The memories this brought back from my childhood are real! What are you waiting for?

I was feeling nostalgic when I picked this up and forgot about how obnoxious these things are XD Not the toy's fault, if you loved Tamagotchis in the 90s you'll be thrilled with this. Just maybe try to remember how often you shoved yours in a sock drawer before buying

It's fun and nostalgic, but kind of dumb after a while. I still keep playing it though! I've killed it 3x so far, but keep re-setting it to play again. Id get one if you want to try it out because I feel like it's pretty affordable!

This is a memory unlocked!! I had it when I was a kid so I wanted to give it to my daughter. It works exactly the same as 20 years ago!! She loves it, and spends a lot of time with it. I’ve been giving these to her friends for their birthdays and they always love it. Cons: - It requires a lot of attention, so if you don’t have the time to play with it, it will die over and over again. Be aware that if you don’t set the time correctly, it will beep in the middle of the night, and that is annoying. Other than that we love it!

I never had a tamagotchi growing up, and totally missed out on the original craze back in the day. With these new re-releases though, I decided to pick one up - and oh boy, it's simple but I love it so much! I picked out the blue colored Amazon exclusive tamagotchi, purely because it comes with a plastic case, while the others do not. And I'm glad I did, as the case does protect the entire unit, and so far has done a great job of protecting it from getting damaged. I've dropped this several times, I accidentally stepped on it, and it got rained on a little bit when attached to my bag - so definitely like the case, even if it's just a plastic clip-on piece. Now for the tamagotchi itself - there is a bit of a learning curve, but after a day I figured it out. The instructions it came with were vague, so googling all my questions really made a difference. The programming on this is almost identical to the originals, it is fairly simple; definitely recommend to anuone new to taking care of a tamagotchi. Now my only complaint is that the device makes these awful and loud beeping noises every time you press a button, BUT you can turn it off by holding the A and C buttons at the same time. The tamagotchi will still make a sound when it needs something, though. I will eventually get another one in a different colors, as I did have a hard time picking out just one as my favorite!

I was so happy to see this pink glitter shell. The gameplay is simple and everything I remember from the 90s! …Alomst. If you want it to live a long and healthy life, do NOT give it the snack/ treat! EVER! I can see the screen in most lighting conditions, however it can be difficult sometimes. For what it is, I’m more than happy with my purchase. If you’re looking for a bit of nostalgia, or you want to see where tamagotchi started, then this is for you! If you’re too young to remember when they first came out, or of you’re used to color screens, and more options/ features then maybe not. I’m so glad Bandai brought back the originals, and even more glad that they introduced new shell designs pretty regularly (I never would have guessed they’d be on the market this long)!

I am a bit disappointed at this Tamagotchi. The display is definitely very low in contrast and hard to see ( and not adjustable ). The entire thing just looks and feels cheap. The beeping sound is also super annoying as it is super loud compared to the originals. I don't know why Bandai instead of improving these, made it worse than the original Tamagotchi.
