Amazing headset!
The headset looks cool and feels premium. Though the headset is a bit heavy but there is no stress on the head as the cusions are very comfortable. The dedicated mic is pretty cool. And with seamless controls on both sides makes it pretty convenient to use it. The 7.1 surround is amazing too. Would definitely recommend it for gaming. One drwaback is that it connects with only pc amd ps4 with a usb dongle.

Great headphones for gamers
Product received within the estimated timeline. The headphones came in well packaged box and were in great condition. at first I was a little skeptical about the quality but seems to be working fine and can be used for playstation 4 as well. Great headphones and a must have for all games. Please check compatible devices before purchase.

I guess I like simulated sound!
Awesome so far!So before I got these I had the Tritton AX Pro+ 5.1 headset. The Microphone on that set had crapped out. But it's not the physical mic, it's something on the inside of the headset. That headset is notorious for those problems... and their customer service was atrocious. Because of my experience with MADCATZ I've actually decided to not buy the x52/x55/x56 HOTAS joysticks, but that is another story for another time. That headset was real 5.1 sound I guess using optical cable. VS this set is simulated 7.1.I seem to be able to tell directional much better in this set compared to the trittons.PROS+Wireless+Excellent Battery Life+Comes with braided mini usb cable, used for charging the headset but it's nice.+Slide away microphone+Microphone has a light on the end to let you know when it's muted.+Seperate microphone muting/volume on left ear is perfect!+Volume/mute on right ear is perfect!+Chroma color through Razer synapse 2.0CONS-Not for Audiophiles at all...-Build quality leaves something to be desired... The piece that makes the ear cups rotate just seems flimsy. I worry about this. Overall the material feels nice and is lightweight but definitely doesn't feel strong.SIDE NOTE: I don't notice any lag whatsoever between sounds through using the headset or sounds coming through the 5.1 computer speakers. I ran both at the same time just to see.

Last night I ordered these from the Razer website but there was a backlog of around a week so I cancelled and ordered here on Amazon instead for same-day delivery. This product is quite new and there aren't many reviews around so I wasn't really sure what to expect with these but it's safe to say that I am extremely happy with my first wireless headset.I am an avid gamer (and musician) so I usually game with my wired studio headphones as they provide high quality audio. Many 'gaming' headsets on the market look flashy and fancy, yet provide poor audio quality AND you end up paying a premium price because of the brand associated with the product. While $169.99 is a hefty price, I would argue that you are indeed paying for a product where the price does reflect the quality.Getting started with the headset was very easy. A USB dongle is provided in the right earphone which you push to eject. Once plugged into your PC, an automatic driver installation takes place although you must remember to charge the headset before using it for the first time. When I started the headset up, I was welcomed by the side of the headphones glowing with the Razer brand logo. The glow is pretty chilled out and fades into random colors. It's cool to display if you're at a LAN party or something but personally it's not really my thing. You can customize the colors to glow, "breath", remain static or turn them off completely. It's worth noting that the lights obviously deplete the battery quicker. Disabling the lighting definitely makes the battery last a couple of hours longer but I'm not sure by how much exactly. The headphones are rather comfortable to wear, I would give them somewhere around 8/10. I have been wearing them for about 4 hours now and my ears aren't sore or anything like that which is good. These headphones cup your ears with cushioning leather which is always nice, however I would have preferred if the inner part of the headphones was reinforced with slightly softer material as the cartilage in some parts of my ear touch the inner speakers and it takes some time getting used to. There is also a soft leather cushion over the top of your head which helps quite a bit. The headphones are size-adjustable and each side provides a numbered measurement system on the plastic bit that extends so that you can easily see how evenly you have extended or retracted each side. The microphone boom is brilliantly designed. There is a mechanism inside of the left headphone which allows the boom to be extended or retracted depending on weather or not you are using it. There is a scroll-wheel on the bottom of the left headphone which sets how sensitive you want your microphone to be. Pressing the wheel also mutes the microphone completely which makes the tip of the microphone light up with a red ring providing a visual indicator to you that your microphone is muted. The red light is an attention grabber and you will definitely notice it in your peripheral vision if you forgot to unmute. The quality of my voice was decent and had no issues communicating with my team mates on Counter Strike. There are a few software-sided settings which allow you to enable background noise cancellation if you're using them in a noisy environment but I have not had time to play with these settings. These headphones are quite bulky but not heavy either. I assume that the components inside of the headphones necessitate them to be the size which they are. I found the default audio levels to be fair with a bit more of a bassy punch to it. My music listening experience was enjoyable with these which included me leaving my bedroom while still wearing them to pee with no disconnection. I only found the quality to ever so slightly decrease which was pretty decent considering the signal was going through two different walls. The instructions claim to have a range of around 40 feet and I don't really doubt that. As I mentioned, these are perhaps a bit more focused on an "umph" bass level but you can customize exactly how you want your levels to be on the software side of things and each level is very decent. Basically you could give these to someone with their eyes closed and they wouldn't know they are wireless.Overall, the quality of the product is decent. I find the plastic to be fair and I don't see them breaking unless you pull them apart to extreme amounts. I've noticed a few reviews claiming they are very flimsy and fragile but I don't really find that to be the case. I must say though that the most inner bar/support which holds the individual headphones together to the main headpiece is a solid plastic with high resistance and I do get the impression the plastic would crack rather than bend if I was extremely aggressive with them.I am currently experiencing an audio issue with these while I play videogames. As I've said, the audio quality is great but the audio volume drops when I run Counter Strike for some reason. If I put the volume up, they still sound hollow as if the mid-levels are muted. It's definitely related to the software side of things and I'll have to tweak and play around with it to figure out what exactly is going on.Overall I'm pretty happy with these and hope to use them for the next few years. My only concern is the decrease in battery performance in the next two years as my Razer laptop battery has dropped charge performance by 50% or so.If you're in the market for a wireless headset whether its for calling over Skype with people, gaming, listening to music, or a combination of the three, I would highly recommend these.

Light, comfy, high quality sound, long battery life, functionality and usability all A+!
I bought these for gaming. I needed wireless and trust Razer. These are awesome 7.1 headphones. They are a bit large but so comfy I forget I'm wearing them. I use these for rainbow six siege and the directional sound is on point, letting me hear where my enemies are so I can get the drop on them. Then I decided to just put on some music and walked around the house listening to my favorite music on my new favorite headphones. These will not disappoint. I forgot to mention the functionality, the two volume scroll wheels, one on left for mic(which works great btw) and the one on the right that controls headset volume double as mute buttonsnwith a simple push. The Mic retracts nicely and indicates when it is muted. The lighting and overall look is so nice. Best headset for the money, period. The charge time seems to last all day.

Functions decently but the quality is not worth the money.
Overall I think the headset is decent; however, there are several things regarding it that really require some tweaks and several important pitfalls you should know before buying it.The decent:- Its fairly comfortable- The battery life is long- The sound quality is better than I expectedThe bad :- The quality of the plastic on the headband is quite poor. I typically take very good care of my headsets and I was quite startled when it broke. Thankfully, the headset itself was functional and this didn't bother me much. Regardless, I removed 1 star for this.- The USB receiver broke. I removed 3 stars for this and I think this requires a bit of explanation so I'll give it to you.I've attached a picture of the price gap between a wired version and an wireless version of this headset. For those of you who don't wish to look. The wireless version of this headset costs $239.11 and the wired version costs $149.99. That's a price difference of $89.12. I have a laptop and a desktop and ideally I'd have liked to switch between the two freely; however, with less than 10 switches between my laptop and desktop the USB Receiver has broken. Essentially, you're paying 90$ for a receiver that you realistically cannot change more than 10 times. In conclusion, if you plan on using this on only one device or computer and never moving it again, this might very well be the headset for you. That said, I'd recommend you bought the wired one. If you feel that you may change devices I'd strongly advise against getting this headset, It just wasn't built to last.
