Product is original and no review needed for Transcend card reader, have been using them since over 10 years now.

I generally shoot RAW file on my Nikon D810 & D750 camera those huge megapixel files be like 30-50MB per per image. On a single day of shoot both of my 32+16 GB Memory cards are filled by end ofthe day due to these high MB files. I was using a normal card reader usb 2.0 before & used to wait over 4-5 hours to get all files copied in my computer, initially i didn't think much but 4-5 hours were too long as my PC is full of high configuration with fast SSD drive then i came across this CARD Reader & BOOM!!! 32GB of data is copied in less than 10minutes now Whoa!!! was amazed & felt so stupid to waste 4-5 hours on normal card reader. A memory card reader that support all kinds of memory cards such as MicroSD, SDHC, SDXC, CF Card, MS Pro/XC & MS Duo, build on a USB 3.0 platform so you'll get the maximum transfer speed that your memory card can produce. The design & build quality was perfect, glossy surface on top, the sides & bottom are matte finish. It's a 100% genuine Transcend product, you can confirm it in the Transcend website product verification page, MRP is Rs 1499 for the TS-RDF8K. It's a plug & play device instant recognition on the computer, no drivers needed. Overall i'm satisfied with the purchase.

Im pretty impressed with the product as I've ordered this Card reader for the second time because I misplaced the previous one. The built is stronger than any local/Chinese products. This card reader is USB 3.0 but my computer supports only USB 2.0. I get speeds from 25-35 MB/s when used for transferring data from a class 10 SD card which supports data transfer rate of 45 MB/s. The speed does not cross this range as my computer has USB 2.0. I hope it will give higher speeds when connected to a USB 3.0 port. This card reader supports almost all memory cards. For users complaining about the speed keep in mind that there are several parameters for you to get maximum transfer speed. 1. USB 3.0 port on your computer/laptop. 2. Class 10 memory cards. Class 4 and Class 6 memory cards do not support higher speeds than a few MB/s. Using a slower card and then blaming the card reader for lower speeds doesn't make sense. Pros: 1. Comparatively smaller in size than most other card readers. 2. Pretty sturdy built. 3. Sturdy cable. 4. Can transfer data from more than one memory card (of different types) at once. 5. Two years warranty. Cons: Can't think of any. This product might look a bit expensive than other card readers but its worth a buy. Local/Chinese brands may provide you a low price compromising the quality.

This is my third reader from this exact model purchased in the last 8 years. I earlier had two of this exact model, both purchased in Germany. They both failed after 2 or 3 years of usage. When they fail, they would refuse to read anything at all - the system simply won't detect it. I was cursing myself for purchasing this, and purchased another brand last year called "Quantum Zero", but that turned out to be an utter garbage. It would mark all the files in my card as corrupted. I ended up purchasing this again, and it works well and all my cards are back to normal (I use SD, CF, and a variety of other cards for various purposes). I have rated it merely 3 stars due to my negative experience with 2 of my previous readers of this exact make/model that failed in 3 years time.

This USB 3.0 card-reader by Transcend is a top-class in quality and performance. Includes a blue LED that turns on while connected, supports many card formats (see image attached), and has an excellent data transfer speed. However, I bought this for Rs. 883, where as on opening the package I saw MRP indicated as Rs. 750, thus the sale is just a hoax, and its actually ILLEGAL to sell a product for more than its MRP. Being Amazon Prime paid member, there is also no excuse of delivery costs that seller / amazon can give. Shall I sue the seller now, or Amazon? <_< Get it from a nearby store instead, or buy it online if its for less than Rs. 750.

A good addition to a DSLR Shooters bag transfers files fast. ill start with the pros first. Note: Update the Frimware first. It was very easy just download the firmware update tool from Transcend Website and Run the tool whilst the reader is connected to a USB port of your computer. + Transfers files fast I am using Lexar Professional 32 GB 400x and it didn't disappoint interms of speed. Got 60 MB/sec Read and 34 MB/Sec Write. Also attached Atto and Crystaldiskmark Pics. + Supports a great variety of cards. + Does not obstruct other ports (Separate USB 3.0 cable which I can also use with my other USB 3.0 devices such as my WD Passport drive). + Seems durable. + Price was right. For me its not a con but for some it could be a bit bigger.

Works very well. I'm glad I chose this one. It has roughly doubled the speed of my cards compared with my computer's internal reader so for £10 this was a no brainer. Read speeds are about 150% (2.5x) quicker, Write speeds are about 50-60% quicker from testing the various SD and MicroSD cards that I have via USB 3.0. The faster the card, the more noticeable the difference. The really slow cards do not Write any faster than the internal reader, but the Reading is always significantly faster. It's made of plastic and very lightweight so time will tell how long it lasts but I'm quite careful with my stuff and have secured it with some sticky pads so it shouldn't get damaged. It's very compact and looks smart. The blue LED stays on all the time and flashes when the cards are in use. You can use multiple cards at the same time apart from SD and MicroSD where you can only use one (or other) at a time. Includes free file recovery software download as well - nice bonus! Not much more to say other than it does the job very well. If you're a professional you may want something even faster and more heavy duty but I think for the average home user this is all you need. I'll look out for the Transcend brand in future.

Questo lettore di memoria è davvero molto veloce e non dà alcun segno di malfunzionamento. Con una CF Sandisk da 8 GB che dichiara 60 MB/s ottengo praticamente tutti i 60 MB/s in lettura dalla memoria e 35 MB/s in scrittura. Notare che 60 MB/s è la velocità massima teorica della USB 2, ma sappiamo che in realtà è molto difficile arrivarci con un lettore USB 2. La misura è stata ottenuta copiando un file da 2.6 GB dal PC alla memoria e viceversa, espellendo la memoria dopo la scrittura, questo sia per verificare che avesse scritto realmente tutto, sia per impedire al sistema operativo di usare la RAM come cache per la successiva lettura. Ho provato anche ad importare le foto da una SD e l'importazione è stata velocissima, non l'ho misurata col cronometro ma era sicuramente molto vicina, se non uguale, al dato di targa della memoria. Insomma è molto più veloce dei lettori USB 2.0 che ho avuto finora e non dà alcun problema di interruzioni o altro (che invece con gli altri lettori ogni tanto avevo). La qualità della plastica è molto buona, il cavo è lungo 40 cm circa e grosso circa 5 mm, un ottimo Copartner AWM 20276 VW-1. Secondo me poi il connettore USB3 è più affidabile e longevo del mini USB tipico delle precedenti schede USB 2. In definitiva un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Ci sono lettori che costano meno, questo però sembra fatto per funzionare bene e per durare relativamente tanto.

I have problem when connected the card reader to the front USB of my PC, lost connection when transfer files to PC. Now I connected the card reader to the back USB of my PC, I have no problem. I have no idea why but it works.

Es lo que buscaba; pequeño, ligero, lee los principales formatos de tarjeta y además lo hace a una velocidad alta. Entrega dentro de los plazos. Lo recomiendo.
