Very Pleased With This Camera!
Great camera! I appreciate the quality for the price. It is the right size and is not too heavy. You cant go wrong with classic black and the design makes it easy to use. I am very pleased with this purchase.

I love this camera more than any girl I ever dated. :)
I love this camera. It is perfect for me. I take a lot of photos and e-mail the photos to friends. The camera is so small that I can easily carry it in my sport jacket pocket. The resolution is subperb. It has an e-mail function. The zoom function takes clear photos at a distance. It is so easy to operate. The price is fair. I use the smart auto function. So all I have to do is point and shoot. The camera makes all the necessary adjustments for a clean, clear photo each time. My friends think I am an experienced photographer because my photos come out crystal clear each time. The camera has a rechargeable battery. So I do not have to buy any additional batteries. The camera comes with a carrying strap which keeps me from accidentally dropping the camera. This is a great camera for an amateur photographer who wants to look like a pro.

Nice camera, lots of instructions.
I hope I did not short this one star, anyway I was looking for an easy point and shoot camera with WIFI so I could post pictures directly to social media like I do with my cell phone. I hate reading instruction manuals and when the camera arrived I knew I was in trouble when I looked at the quick start guide which is a small booklet but is 21 pages long!! Quick start!! You have to go on line to see and down load the user manual which is 130+ pages!! This camera does some amazing things from what I read, but I would not remember many of the things I can do without referring to the manual which I am not going to download and print to carry around with me. I did learn how to post pictures on line and even transfer pictures from the camera to my phone or was it from my phone to the camera!!!! It does take very nice pictures so maybe I should have given it 5 stars, but with all the instructions it makes my head spin, and I know next month I will have forgotten hot to post from the camera to the internet and will have to consult the manual again. Maybe I will have my 10 year old granddaughter show me how to use it.

False Advertising!
This is a compact digital camera, with a lot of features for a very reasonable price. It shoots video, and it has built-in Wi-Fi, which allows you to easily share your photos. However, it does NOT have "PC Auto Backup" or wireless uploading, in spite of what the description says. (More on this in a minute.) It comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, a plug-in USB cable/charger, a wrist strap, and a quick-start guide. If you want to learn about the camera's features (without trial-and-error), I'd recommend downloading the full manual, which can be found online for free. NOTE: If you intend to take more than one or two pictures with this camera, you'll need to buy a separate memory card. It only works with Micro SD, Micro SDHC, or Micro SDXC memory cards. (I had to find this information at Samsung's website, since it's not mentioned in Amazon's product description.) - PROS - * Purple! The description photos look almost navy blue, but the camera is actually a dark purple. Blueish-purple, to be sure, but still purple. * It's very lightweight and compact. I love how thin it is! * Advanced Features. This digital camera has many of the same features as a fancy, high-end DSLR, such as adjustable ISO, aperture, and focus. Or you can use the auto-feature, which will analyze the scene and choose the best settings for you. There's some fancy features, too, like a portrait-setting that automatically removes blemishes, and a panoramic-setting that lets you splice several photos together. * Uploading Features. It will let you automatically upload your pictures and videos to Facebook, YouTube, Dropbox, or Picasa. It will let you email photos to yourself and friends. It will even let you send photos to your smartphone or tablet. However, it does NOT permit wireless uploading to your computer, in spite of what the description says. - CONS - * False Advertising! Both Amazon's product description and the press release at Samsung's website claim this camera has "PC Auto Backup" -- a feature that allows you to use Wi-Fi to automatically upload your photos to your computer. This was actually the main reason I bought this camera. When I couldn't find this feature listed in the manual, I contacted Samsung's customer service and they told me, in no uncertain terms, that the WB35F digital camera does NOT have PC Auto Backup! I am extremely disappointed. * In order to store the pictures you take, you'll need a separate micro memory card. This isn't mentioned in the description, but it'll cost you about $20 extra, more or less, depending on what size and speed you get. I got the SanDisk 32GB Ultra Class 10 Micro SDHC , which I'm happy with. You'll want a protective case, too. I got the Case Logic QPB-301 Point and Shoot Camera Case (Purple) , which works nicely. * When it's turned on, the camera makes a high-pitched whirring sound that's very annoying. It's quiet enough that most people probably won't even notice, but I'm sensitive to high-pitched sounds, so it bugs me. * While in the menu system, if you hesitate before choosing an option, a "help" window will pop up to tell you what that particular option does. This was nice on the first day, when I didn't know what any of the features were. But now it's just annoying. In general, I'm pleased with this camera. I still haven't learned all its tricks, but it takes great pictures and packs a lot of neat features into a very small, affordable package. However, I cannot forgive the false advertising! I really wanted wireless uploading and was sorely disappointed to learn that it doesn't exist. I must praise Amazon's customer service, though! When I emailed them to express my dissatisfaction, they replied within thirty minutes--and on a Sunday, no less! They promised to amend the product listing (which still hasn't happened, unfortunately) and offered me a 20% refund if I wanted to keep the camera, and a complete refund if I wanted to return it. You can't get better than that. Amazon gets 5 stars for their prompt and efficient customer service, but the Samsung WB35F camera only gets 3 stars. Cautiously recommended, but only if you don't need wireless uploading or automatic PC backup.

good camera
I've only had this for a day, so this is a first impression (first impressions are important). I will update this review in a couple of weeks. I gave it five stars because it does everything I want it to do. It seems well-constructed. It is very easy to use. It take really good pictures. It is compact and lightweight. There are a few annoying things that can be compensated for. The description of the camera said it uses a memory card - not a specific type. Perhaps it does somewhere. I assumed it used a regular-size SD card (like the canon powershot it replaces). It uses a micro-SD card which I'll have to get. Until then, I have to use the internal memory. It is good for six photos or three seconds of video. At least I can test the various functions and see how they work. I emailed several pictures to myself. This function works well, however, the picture is compressed when it is emailed. A photo that was 3 or 4 megabytes in its original form arrives at its email destination as 400 or 500 kilobytes. It would be nice if there was an option to send the photo in high resolution. Actually, you can do this by hooking the camera to your computer and copying the file, but it would be nice to do this directly from the camera. Another thing the camera does when you email is that it save the email address - but you can't delete any of these addresses. Potentially, I'll have to scroll though many email address - even the ones no longer in use. Perhaps a future software update can address both these issues. The battery doesn't seem to last. I've had to charge it twice. My canon battery seemed to last forever, but it had no wi-fi and the photos were 10 mb. This Samsung camera has a lot of battery draining features, but it would be nice to have a stronger battery. On the subject of the battery, the charging cord is way too short. I have to use the cord that came with another device I have. For me, the cord should be another foot long. By not having a micro SD card I cannot update the firmware (I got a message to do this) nor can I set up my smartphone as a viewfinder. Again, these are little problems that don't really distract from the fact that this seems to be a good little camera that I will most likely get a lot of use out of.

A slow camera, but good quality
The camera is high quality and takes excellent pictures. The optical zoom is excellent. However, the device is noticeably slow, often requiring ten seconds before it is able to take the picture. Multiple pictures are very slow. It is perfect for carrying in your pocket or on a belt when travelling as it is small and unobtrusive. The direct download via the Wifi or iPhone is quite handy. A far better camera than the iPhone or iPad and almost as easy to use. The slow speed will drive you nuts if you are trying to take multiple pictures. It seems to spend a great deal of time trying to figure out the perfect focus and exposure. Generally, it gets it right but the delay can be frustrating. Overly complicated menus - it would be easier if they had provided fewer choices. Bottom line - really good optics and zoom. High quality photos. But you need to wait for the camera, and life happens faster.

ive had this camera for less than a month and its amazing. it fits pretty well in my pocket and its easy to set up. takes wonderful photos in perfect detail. one of the only complaint I can think of is the app for smart phones, connects via "wifi" and disconnects your phone for internet including mobile, but that belongs on the app store review. the other would be the fact that updating the firmwhere is pretty confusing, for anyone one wondering you have to press the left zoom button and the playback button at the same time WHILE THE CAMERA IS OFF, even though the instructions say you do it while it is on.

Great little camera for the pri¢e
I wanted a small digital camera that I could slip into my purse, but didn't want to sacrifice the features of my larger digital camera. At first, I wasn't too sure about this one because the pictures didn't seem to be very focused. I took both cameras on vacation and ended up not using my larger one at all. After a bit of practice, and reading the manual, the camera seemed to do all I had hoped for my picture-taking needs. There wasn't a very good wifi connection at the resort, so I wasn't able to send pics to my FB page or e-mail, but that was not the fault of the camera. I am glad that I ordered an extra battery to keep on hand, because the battery seems to discharge pretty quick, but it beats having to be constantly buying the four AA batteries that I need for my other camera. I think this camera is a great deal for the pri¢e
