PlanarHelium PCT2435 Touch Screen 24" LED LCD Full HD Resolution Monitor

I'm happy with this monitor... I was born in the Eisenhower era #34 and my eyesight has changed over the past decade. A bigger screen of this size 24" is important along with gaining a touch screen. I'd gotten spoiled by a touch screen tablet, phone, and pc at work so I thought it about time to upgrade. Simple to plugin and installed and operational in a matter of minutes.

The monitor is great! Love it. Have two already and wanted a third. The seller continually over sells what they have in stock. Had to try multiple times before i got one.

I bought this monitor to use with a mac-mini that I've bootcamped with windows 8. Overall, the touch experience is excellent. The brightness and contrast of the display are also really nice. It comes with a built in webcam as well. The camera works fine but the audio quality is pretty bad compared to using skype on my laptop. Also, it has an odd problem with the usb ports. If I plug a mouse and keyboard into the monitor, it keeps losing the usb connection (touch, mouse and keyboard stop working). If I just plug the mouse and keyboard directly into the computer, it all works great. I am going to get a bluetooth mouse and keyboard soon in the battle against wires but it's something to be aware of. When I plugged a wireless mouse in, touch stopped working all together. That said, Planar technical support has been outstanding. They are amazingly responsive and you communicate with a single person until the issue is resolved. I also have a cable box plugged into it through HDMI. My only nitpick is that adjusting the volume of the monitor speakers is a 4 button push on the OSD when it looks like it should just be on the display. Other than that, it's been a great display.

Admittedly, I’m not super tech savvy— but I can say that this (as my second screen) has been a total game changer! It is so much easier to work with a big, clear touch screen. Set up was easy. Highly recommend.

After having a laptop monitor that had a touch screen, I was really happy to buy a larger monitor that had that feature as well. So far it has worked really well, and haven't had any issues. Great product!

Added this monitor to my DJ setup, it's bright, picture quality is not the best but for most it will be just fine. Has a small amount of lag in touch response but very minimal at most. Good purchase for sure!

First, let talk about the Bad. camera, so awful, useless, . video will only give you a blur movement can not catch video, only good for Picture. Second to think this monitor is manufacture made, all the cable should have bundle, or custome into one connector, one cable. still all individual. Three cable+ if you use other USB, all clutter, Third, I don't knows about other people, But I notice that even though the monitor is off the touch function still on, if computer still on, any touch on the screen will deploy what ever it is in the spot. Fourth, mic is very low. system hardly recognize voice, I don't even use it, it also additional cable. My first one the touch screen peel off on the top. I have to sent back. Support is responsive. But to think I trading my brand new unit for a refurbished not quit happy. but have no choice. Picture quality is good, not brilliant. have to sit straight in front or color will look wash out.LAST, refresh screen seems to be slow, somehow it is not reset itself, when it crash. screen just black out and it happen a lot both monitor I had did the the same thing, usually happen when login, get quit a game, or app,the only thing to do is shut off the monitor and turn back on. my Graphic card is not cheap. I have the 780 gtx classified.I gave a 3 star because the touch functions work. still on desktop I cant bring up the task bar with touch, it don't work have to use key board, so if you like to use desktop mode a lot the touch screen still not up to it. keep in mind google chrome and google is not very responsive to touch screen, only Internet Explore. price is higher than others. I bought it, because it has ten point touch, camera, mic. In conclusion I should have go with the other. because no application will allow,or use ten point touch yet for home user. camera and mic are useless.

This monitor had CONSTANT blinking of rows and rows of pixels all over the screen.There are about 4-5 suggested fixes for issues akin to this online. I tried all of them. One of them (changing color balance) removed about 20% of it, but that's entirely unacceptable.I returned this and bought an ASUS touchscreen monitor for less money (a bit smaller though), and it's perfect in all the ways.The one good thing I can say about this monitor (if you're lucky enough that yours would actually work without strobe-light pixelation) is the stand. The stand is the best I've ever seen, but that's simply not enough as I don't LOOK at the stand! : P

This touchscreen monitor is great, it responds really fast and is a nice size for working, The camera is pretty clear and has a built in mic as well.Although it took me like 25 minutes to change the mode to AUTO mode because when I bought this it was without manual so I had to look up the internet for the manual. Wasn't easy to switch back to AUTO detect input mode. So far I love this monitor!

I originally had a Planar PXL2230, which lasted a couple of years, but the touch worked pretty well, and it also worked with Microsoft Surface Pro pens. That one started to fade, and the touch started to fail in the top right corner. I liked the pen touch, and finger touch, so I bought the 2430 version. That monitor was worse. It must have thought I was barely alive as the touch didnt work well. The screen was nice and bright though, and the monitor was pretty heavy. That lead me to buy the 2435, which uses a different touch method, that doesn't work with Surface Pro pens, but the monitor is nice and bright and the touch is excellent. It's also a couple of pounds lighter than the 2430, which made it easier to keep steady on the monitor VESA mount I use. Also the bezel is only on the bottom, and pretty much edge to edge on the other 3 sides, making it take less space.I like this monitor, wish it would work with a Microsoft pen. It does work with those fat rubber tipped touch pointers, but you can't draw effectively with those. I would recommend it. It's at a good price point too for a touch.

Makes working on my web development tasks much easier, and it's also Linux compatible without any additional drivers (Ubuntu 19.10)
