Not durable
Had to replace pump after three years and now have small leak which lg service could not find but thought it might be bearing seal . $350 to repair but no guarantee that this was the source. Would not buy lg again.

Don’t buy LG
Horrible experience! Worst customer service! I am so disappointed in this washer. It leaves behind a significant amount of water after each wash and the clothing does not spin well at all. This makes the clothing require extra drying time, which often ruins them. I have called LG about this and then keep telling me that someone is coming to fix it but somehow the message gets lost and no one comes. One time someone came and did nothing just clean the filter. When I called back to tell them the product still isn’t working they said someone else is coming. I called back a week later and they said the company could not come. No one decided to follow up. I have called several times before that and each time it seems to get very complicated. Not to mention, my LG dryer is also making very loud noises. They are supposedly sending a different company to look at the dryer. When I asked them if the same company can just service both they said they couldn’t. Now I have two companies supposedly coming but no one has called or came. I also have a lot of ruined clothing. I have had a Frigidaire washer dryer for many years before this that worked great. I should of stuck with that.

To balance out the bad reviews…
I have no issues whatsoever with this washer. I’m seeing someone mentioned “sludge”. I would suggest you get your water tested. I also saw someone say something about a leaking seal… I tend to think that’s from not cleaning it often enough. It’s a front-load washer, you have to run it through a clean cycle and wipe the door and seal clean once a week, it’s not difficult. Also, saw something about a hot water leak, cold water leak idk. We’ve had this washer for 5 years and it’s been moved to three different places. It has a couple of dents but it’s been a trooper, no leaks at all. So, I tend to think there are people out there that simply don’t care for their appliances properly. Also, as far as customer service, I have several LG appliances currently and have had many more over the years, I’ve never had issues with customer service. I don’t trust a lot of reviews, honestly. I just wanted to add this because I was curious about what reviews are online, so naturally checked Amazon. I actually just watched a video about the best appliances to buy, from a guy that repairs them for a living and he recommended this model, lol.

The worst customer service possible
First off let me say I did not purchase my machine from Amazon and the one I got was eight years ago.I wanted to write this review because I believe anyone buying this product should be aware of LGs customer service. My machine started displaying the LE error code so I reached out to LG about it. They told me I'd need to contact a service center and provided the number. I called the service center and was told it would cost $125 just for them to come out. I paid the $125 and had to wait five days for someone to come out. The tech came, said he fixed it and left. I tried to run a load and boom! LE error was back. I called the service center back and they said more parts was ordered but the tech could not come back out until the next week. When he came he told me that he's putting in a request for a new machine because he's not able to fix it. I was told I need to send proof of purchase, so I did. Now this machine has a motor with 10 years warranty so LG making sure it's fixed should not be an issue (tech said it was the motor). The request got put in and after a couple days of not hearing anything back, I called to find out what's going on. They said it takes up to three days to get approved. During that time no one reached out to provide any updates. I called after 3 days and was told I had already gotten a replacement five years ago. That's not the case as this is the first time I've had to interact with LG. Also, it would be quite easy to provide that wasnt the case as u have the serial number for the product I bought, not another serial number! Needless to say, they weren't interested in getting that issue sorted out and were very rude throughout the various interactions. When u finally spoke to a supervisor, he then told me it's not the motor that's the issue (bear in mind, the tech declared that was the problem onsite) and the part that was causing the problem is only under warranty for 7 years (how convenient?). At this point it's almost four weeks since I have no machine and my issue has not been resolved. The experience has been appalling to say the least, the lack of care shown by LG was mind boggling. They treated me as though I stole their product as opposed to the $3000 I spent.Their product is solid while it is working but be aware of what might com when you need LG's customer service the most.

Short term Washer with Terrible Customer Service.
It does clean clothes but it also is poorly constructed and begins falling apart basically as soon as it is out of warranty. They also have no repair technicians at all. You have to go through a third party which is a pretty big pain. The customer service is honestly worse than useless. So far the circuit board has blown during normal use and now the drum is slamming the sides so hard it’s knocking parts off. Please do yourself a favor and buy form a different company.

Stinky sludge stuck in door seal
The pros of this washer is that it has held up and washes fine. The cons are it makes your clothes smell no matter how well you try to clean it. If washing towels, I have to put baking soda in with the wash to keep it from stinking. Also, for quite a while I was trying to figure out what brown crayon was left somewhere in our wash. Finally I realized that it was coming from the sludge under the door seal. I try my best to clean this out, but there is always some lurking. I often have to rewash items that are smeared with this stuff. Waste of energy, not to mention it's disgusting. This is not my first front load. I had a Kenmore previously and did not have this issue for whatever reason. I'm attaching a picture to show what I'm talking about.
