Excellent dimming and comfortable. Worth the money to feel safer than with a cheaper helmet
I'm not a real welder. I weld things now and then, and I can do an okay weld when I need to.I had an Antra dimming helmet with specs similar to this one's. It was okay, but it was slow to darken and would quit working without warning. This helmet feels solid but not heavy. The band is wide and comfortable. The nod-to-drop works very well. The undimmed view is very good, brighter than the Antra. Dimming is so fast that it's seamless transition from undimmed room light to dimmed arc light. I don't see the arc at all before dimming. This uses standard batteries and the batteries are accessible and very easy to replace. This was very welcome, as the Antra used flat coin batteries and it was absolutely awful to open it up to change batteries.I compare because the Antra was less than half the price and that was attractive for an occasional welder. This Lincoln Electric helmet was expensive for me, but I should have bought this helmet the first time. It's more than I wanted to pay, but I feel safer.

Good basic auto dimming welding helmet. Good value and quality.
Title said it all. It's comfortableLightweightVery clearComfortable ratcheting head gearEasy to swing closed by nodding your head... You can actually hear and feel the gears. When upright it doesn't tend to fall downwards unintentionally like cheaper no name helmets. It's a really good comfortable helmet. Goes up to shade 13.For around $100 you can't go wrong. It's Lincoln quality. Works great highly recommended.

Welders like it
I gave this to my son who was a welder as a birthday gift he said it is much better than the one he had including field of vision and ability to see better. Fits well and is well made.

Great helmet
I am just a recreational welder and got tired of doing the head flip with a normal helmet. So I bought this helmet. It works fantastic for my needs. There is no reason to purchase a $300 - $500 helmet unless your welding for a living. Easy to set the darkness without having to take the helmet off. Easy to replace the AA batteries if needed. Great helmet for the money!

Good helmet
Great helmet for hobbyists. Good for the value. Not for every day work.

Works very well.
Like the ease of battery access and the test button feature. Helps to minimize unwanted arc flashs.

Great buy and very sensitive battery is actually replaceable
Don’t buy those cheap Forney helmets from your parts guy that won’t last and don’t have replacement battery spend a little extra and get this one. Name brand you can trust If you just weld 2-3 times a month this is all you need Lid is light but it protects good and dosnt feel like a bowling ball on your head field of view isn’t huge but Guys I been welding a long time and if you can’t see your weld in a helmet like this then maybe you should let someone else do the welding

Great welding helmet, Great Value
I tried 3 other helmets, some less expensive and one far more expensive, but this one really nailed it for me. I can adjust to clearly see the weld pool and it is quite comfortable. I have used it now for approximately 40 hours of use and find it to be both comfortable and provide great visibility.

Good Product, Not So Good Price
After I bought this product from amazon.ca, I found the same exact product for less than half the price, on amazon.com. That's after the currency exchange.
