Hurts so good…
This thing is a literal pain in the…. Well anyway it may hurt in the short term, if you use it correctly, but the reduction in tension and pain is so worth it!Seems to be well designed and sturdy. Definitely recommend to those not afraid of the short term discomfort of myofascial release

Versatile trigger point device, more rigid than most
This deep tissue trigger point device works well for releasing my locked up shoulder blades. After reading the instructions, I was able to find a good position that allowed me to pinpoint my most troublesome areas. The device is different from other trigger point devices I own because it is much more rigid, and takes more practice to find the best positions without causing discomfort. Most other devices are made of a foam rubber type material that compresses slightly when using them. This device is solid, and does not flex much during use. I could see this causing pain or even bruising for some people if used for too long. For me, I need lots of pressure to release my spasmed muscles, so this device works well for my issues. This device can be used for several different areas of the body. The instructions explain how to use it on your upper back, shoulder blades, lower back, and hips. I found that I can adjust the device up and down my back to target even more muscles than the instructions describe.

Good idea but impossible to figure out how to use
This "hoop" is a great idea in theory... and it seems to be well-made. However, the instructions are REALLY poor. This renders the hoop virtually unusable because it's impossible to figure out how to use it. I ordered this in order to help relieve tightness with my psoas (an issue I've battled on and off for years and have found pressure in the right spot in my hip flexors tends to bring relief), but am very hesitant to use because of the poor (basically non-existent) instructions.

great if you start slow -- but see listing for the size of person this works for
This is a review of THERANUB Back Hoop for Pain Relief Deep Tissue - Hip Flexors Psoas iliacus Release - Massage Sciatica Trigger Points in The Piriformis - Loosen Rhomboid QL Muscles, Blue I am sooooo glad I got this device. But I will admit trepidation when I approached it in person. Though the device is not rock hard, it is stiff the way my TheraCane is stiff. The instructions suggest using it only a couple minutes at first. Good advice. But also I suggest not immediately laying right down on it. No, go slow until you understand how it works on your body. My slow introduction to the device included trying it against a wall so I could choose how deeply to press. And having my partner adjust it and press. When I first tried on the floor, I put pillows all around so my entire weight wasn’t pressing down on it the first couple times. Then I moved to just using the device without traiing wheels. This can effectively press on many trigger points, so there will be a lot more testing and trying for me. But already it has been good. Is it worth taking the time to go slow? Definitely yes. This thing can address several trigger points at once. And if you have a lot of painful areas, trying to treat each one separately can take a long time. Because this relies on body weight, this can also press deeply, reaching areas difficult to reach other ways. NOTE: In case you missed it, this is a ‘one size’ device. The listing warns that ‘users under 61” might unknowingly exert pressure on the scapula when focusing on the lower back.’ Thus they suggest that this device is best for ‘individuals over 61" in height and weighing 85 to 300lbs.’ Luckily, I fall within the parameters. I recommend this device as long as you are willing to start slowly with it.

Very intense but can be tricky to use
The THERANUB Back Hoop is a lightweight portable device you can use to target sore muscles. Due to it's design and rigidness it provides a very intense pressure. Once you find the proper alignment it really does the job, but it can be tricky to find where exactly it needs to go. It comes with a fairly detailed instruction booklet showing you how to orient the device over different regions. This can still be tricky to follow. However, once you find the right spot it feels amazing and really does the trick. If you'er able to move around and experiment with positioning you should be able to make this work really well for you.

How do you even benefit from this?
It's really uncomfortable, even when considering that these things are supposed to be a little discomforting (in a good way). This thing just feels infeasible to use. I don't feel it did anything for me. It comes with a booklet but the quality is poor and isn't helpful.

Strong, durable, primitive, effective
Shapes can be funny especially when they play an important role. THERANUB Back Hoop for Pain Relief Deep Tissue - Hip Flexors Psoas iliacus Release is just like that, a success because of its shape. The gadget is used two different ways, upside down and right side up although I am not sure which would be which. The included instructions share how the device should be used and in which ways. The build quality is superb with very little flex and no bend even with full weight applied. It is challenging to learn to use and even more so getting used to the body and muscle positioning.
