Who would think that such a silly toy would create so much interest and ENDLESS LAUGHTER!! This isn't a soft cuddly kind of stuffed animal, it's a dancing caterpillar standing on a log that you can set on the floor, bed, table, etc. Sure, he can play his little song or play back a recorded message, while those are both fine, that is NOT where the comedy is. The endless fun is when he is a mimic. Whatever you say, or sing, or say in a funny accent, mister caterpillar here will do his little jig and repeat it back to you in his slightly higher and slightly faster caterpillar voice. Now I know I'm not going to do this justice by describing it in words, but I kid you not, I was cracking myself up for almost 40 minutes before my wife came and took it away. As an adult, I guess it depends on your humor, but my nephew also got a kick out of it as much as I did. So there you go.

As an adult, it is a bit frustrating and takes some patience to figure out how the recording works. But for kids, the laughs and attachment to this are unbelievable! They love it! When recording, the playback pitches the voices up and hilarity ensues. Lots of fun!
