Z LOK COMBO Multi-use Security Tie & Bike Lock

Nice and lightweight easy to use . My yellow one failed and it's not even a year old . Locked my bike up in York Railway Station under cover for the night and went to get the bike today . None of the numbers would engage and unlock . Tried twice before having to traipse 30 mins home amd back again with WD40 and cutters . I then had to faff around twice more spraying sed WD40 into the lock which failed then had to go find a police officer showing him proof the bike was mine and to supervise the cutting of the lock to retrive my own bike so I didn't look like a criminal . Buy with caution . Also these are not wire cutter proof

This lock isn't perfect - it's thin, the 1000-combination lock is easy enough to crack by feel, and the band isn't long enough to do more than tie the bike frame to a rack. It won't deter a professional with a decent cutting tool (even some heavy-duty snips), or an opportunist with a bit of patience and determination. In no way is this a suitable replacement for a proper lock to secure your bike against theft for any length of time. BUT, it's a useful inconvenience, and sometimes that's all you need. in situations where you just have to leave your bike unattended for a moment, or you're far enough away that you couldn't prevent instant opportunistic theft, it's enough to give you some peace of mind. When bikepacking somewhere remote where bike theft is not a likely problem, or when I have to pop into a high street shop for two minutes, this lock is small & light enough that I can always have it with me, and it's enough to make a difference and stop me worrying.

This is brilliant works like a zip tie, but no keys to lose, you just put your unique number on the locking mechanism. Great for the quick cafe stops, also if you have a longer cable can use to tie two bikes together it’s a quick and easy cable lock. Very lite to carry with you. A very sturdy bike locking mechanism.

Product arrived Sunday afternoon and I was immediately struck by how cheap and flimsy it felt even considering its intended use. The dial characters were vague with no feel to them seating into place and as such it was awkward to operate even in dry, well lit conditions. On Monday the product refused to open, almost certainly due to the inability of it to accurately select a number on the combination lock. This would have been annoying enough if it was still in the house being tested but it was actually outside in the rain so not only did I have a faulty lock I was also soaking wet. Still, it was actually a fairly quick fix - kitchen scissors cut through this surprisingly easily. I know it's a lightweight lock and not some high security chain thing but seriously, the scissors went through it like a knife through butter. Or, as the saying in our house now goes - "like flimsy kitchen scissors through a hiplock". Avoid. And yes, I've mostly written this review because I got wet.

I don’t think it’s robust enough to deter a thief from stealing my bike, but I bought it to deter thieves from stealing my saddle. A Campagnolo seat pin with a titanium frame Brooks saddle is worth a quid or two and quite easily removed. Apart from the expense of replacing it, the ride home without it would be extremely uncomfortable!

So light but so strong. This is a great deterrant to any bike thief. Would be hard to cut with bolt cutters as it's too flat. I use it along with my larger d lock. I use it to stop people stealing my front wheel.

Pretty good and lightweight. I use it on rides when I pop in to cafe or toilet for a few mins. Not sure I would trust it for locking up a bike in a city for a decent length of time but ok for the price for short periods. Large enough for locking two wide frame bikes to a bike rack.

Very pleased with this lock, great design, light easy to carry on bike & seems far more secure than other coffee stop locks. Only small issues is the size of numbers on combination lock. Probably fine for young cyclists but even with my specs on difficult to see, especially in poor light.

Perfect for ducking into store in a low crime area, but obviously would never withstand serious attack. Still high quality and perfect for coffee shop runs.
