Easy set up
They’re great! It was very easy to set them up and they work perfect with Apple!

Amazing great buy
Color range is amazing, connectivity is very, very easy, no flickering very easy to adjust. Does require some type of HomeKit to be able to use Alexa Siri or Google home but other than that, this is an amazing product for the price.

pretty amazing for the price
I was a bit hesitant about getting such a "cheap" HomeKit bulb but now I'm glad I did. they seamlessly added to my HomeKit without issue. the manufacturer's app wasn't even needed. pretty awesome. the color options really appear to be true RGB with unlimited hue adjustment as well as brightness settings from 0% to 100%. if someone turns the light switch off they come back on exactly to the last used settings. with all of that said there are 2 things I don't like. the first is the dimming isn't smooth. they do hit the accurate color or brightness setting but its sort of choppy. be aware this isn't a deal breaker for me. the other thing I find odd (maybe all RGB bulbs do this?) when going from one color to another it can cycle through a third color for a second or so. again, this isn't a deal breaker for me. just an oddity.

The L4 bulbs with Adaptive Lighting was Finicky but was fixed with help from VOCOlinc's support
UPDATE April 20, 2025 After I finally contacted VOCOlinc support via email, they worked with me to get my L4 bulbs working properly. The latest firmware was causing the issue, and VOCOlinc guided me to restore the previous firmware for the bulbs. The old firmware works correctly with Apple Home/HomeKit automations and scenes as well as Siri voice control. I again recommend VOCOlinc smart L4 bulbs. (P.S. VOCOlinc has not asked me to change my review, I felt this review update was necessary.) [Original review] I have almost a dozen Vocolinc L3 bulbs with zero issues ever for several years. They work great, respond well, never disconnect from Apple Home... but these new L4 bulbs with adaptive lighting is absolutely a headache. L4 lights will only turn on with a cool white and 100% brightness EVERY SINGLE TIME regardless of telling the bulbs to not use adaptive lighting when setting them up and making sure that setting is off. I often have to cycle the power to get them back responding. I do have them set to use last color and brightness, but all my automations and asking Siri to turn them on will only give me bright white after they are off more than one hour. I hope there's a firmware update in the next couple weeks or they all get returned.

Bulb is inexpensive customer service is a JOKE
Bought these bulbs after watching a YouTube Influencer RAVE about them, that have should have been a Red Flag. The bulbs are cheaper in cost than the Hue bulbs I've used, which isn't always a bad thing, however, after getting the bulbs powered on and attached to HomeKit I've had nothing but problems with them getting the message "Not Responding" in the Home app and not being able to update the firmware. A few days after getting the bulbs a firmware update appeared which I was unable to get to install. I emailed support about the problem and they sent me a link to test that my network was able to access their firmware update server, which I was able to do without issue. I was also given the option for what they called "a complex solution" which required me to have an extra cell phone, using it to set up a Hotspot, changing the name of the Hotspot to the same name as my wireless network, powering off the router so that my devices then attached themselves to the new Hotspot network and then using another cell phone to open their app and try to update the firmware. I emailed their customer service back letting them know I was able to connect to their firmware server without issue but the "complex solution" was non-starter for me as I did not have another cell phone to use. I was then asked about what brand of router I was using. I provided the requested information and awaited a response. I sent a follow-up email a week later and was informed that VOCOlinc support had to go out and buy the same brand and model router to try and determine why this was happening, that was at the end of November. Fast forward to the end of January, no response from their customer service in almost 2 months, I email them asking them where they are at in solving my problem all I get is promises that there is a new firmware coming. A few days later a new firmware appears, I tried to install it and it still fails. I email support letting them know and I get a response featuring the same text when I first reported having an issue, please try connecting to our firmware server using this link, here is the "complex solution" to try as well. If you want cheap smart lighting and don't care about customer support go ahead and spend your money on these. They will get the job done. If you care about customer service and security of your smart devices then invest in proper smart lighting like Phillips Hue. *** UPDATE 09/14/2021 *** Have bought three of these bulbs, a 2 pack and a single bulb, two of the 3 have failed within a year. Customer service is still a joke, most of the time I have to email them to get status updates and get messages that there were "system errors" in receiving my messages. When their bulbs fail within a year of purchase VOCOlinc's answer is not to replace the defective bulbs but to issue a refund PRO-RATED from the date of purchase. Don't waste you times on cheaper smart bulbs if you want them to last.

Multi-platform Great Value!
I’m a big fan of these bulbs! I have 8 of them now. I am also a big fan of Philips Hue and mostly have their bulbs in my home, but these are an amazing alternative and are actually superior it terms of brightness and at a lower price. I only buy smart home equipment that is compatible with both Apple Home/HomeKit and Alexa. I also find that most Alexa enabled devices also play well with Google which is nice. I have some kind of Echo in almost every room, which makes it easy to control my smart home devices via voice commands. On the other hand, devices have to go through stringent security hoops to be certified by Apple (which makes me feel a bit more at ease) and I feel like the Apple platform is superior for creating automations/routines. There are also a multitude of iOS apps to help you get the most out of your smart home, including ones that actually backup your smart home setup. I’ve labored over my smart home setup for hours upon hours so it’s nice to know I have backups...for the Apple side of things. To my knowledge, Amazon does not yet offer a backup option for your smart home settings. This was recently very very very painful when I inadvertently deleted all of my smart home devices and settings on the Amazon side of things and had to start over from scratch. Amazon, please fix this or let me know if I’m missing something. Anyway, on the other hand, Apple’s HomePods are quite expensive compared to Amazon’s variety of Echo devices and I don’t always care to retrieve my phone from my pocket or from another room to control my smart home gear. Going with equipment that can be used on both platforms literally gives me the best of both worlds, offers the most flexibility, and security, and these bulbs are part of that equation at a very reasonable price.

Not worth the headache.
Product ability is amazing no questions asked. Easy installation. It’s bright. The only problem like many others have, only one bulb works as it should. The other bulb is consistently disconnecting, becoming unresponsive. Additionally, this brand is the only brand that I have had so much trouble connecting to my wifi, Alexa, and HomeKit. I’m currently using Meross and LIFX and those brands took me all of 30 seconds to connect to everything. I sht you not. It took me 3 hours to get these 2 bulbs to connect. And then once once connected, it’s going to act unresponsive? I’m sorry, not gonna waste anymore time or money on this. Or even trying to troubleshoot it. I only chose this over other brand because of brightness. At this rate, forget it. Not worth the hassle of trying to baby it. I’ll just buy my other brand even if it’s slightly not as bright. At least it won’t have issues connecting or staying connected. Things I’ve tried to connect these bulbs: forgetting WiFi network on my phone multiple times, logging in and out of the VOCOlinc app, same with Alexa, tried holding my phone very close to the device, scanning the code, inputting the code manually, trying to connect on different devices. Nothing.

Perfecto
Una marca no conocida en Mexico pero es de las mejores que hay, ya que la integración que tiene con los asistentes inteligentes es muy buena, el brillo es espectacular, sin duda volvería a comprar sin dudarlo

Instant HomeKit setup, and fast response to vocal commands
The easiest, fastest bulbs I have ever set up in HomeKit. I can’t compare them to Hue I can’t afford them, but these work fine for me. No issues, no problems. These are L4 A21 bulbs, so a little bit larger than the standard A19s. Super fast response to Siri voice commands over iPad or HomePods. I’ll be buying more. Update: I’ve been using these bulbs with HomeKit for a while now and I can truthfully say that they have the fastest response to vocal commands of all the various brands of smart bulbs I’m using.

The WiFi doesn't work.
I'm a techie with a perfectly configured 2.4ghz router and DHCP enabled with a bunch of other devices connected and working. Even right next to the router, these bulbs couldn't be found in the app, making these some pretty expensive basic light bulbs. It's possible mine were defective, but the reset on them triggered just fine, so I'm unsure if that's the case. Next time I will spend a bit extra on a trusted brand.
