Feels good in the hand, but the "ripples" are just decorative
Some knives have ripples like this one as a product of the forging process. However, these ripples are just printed/lasered on. that is a bit disappointing. The knife feels good in my hand and the blade is very sturdily mounted in the handle. The blade is a bit curved, so if you are cutting something long, you have to rock the knife to get a clean cut. It is very sharp and a pleasure to use.

QUALITY & VALUE REIGN SUPREME!!!
HOW REFRESHING TO ACTUALLY GET A SHARP KNIFE THAT IS ADVERTISED AS A SHARP KNIFE. WHAT A GREAT CONCEPT! THIS BEAUTIFUL KNIFE COMES PACKAGED VERY NICELY, I RECALL WHEN OPENING THE GIFT BOX THAT THERE WAS SOMETHING SPECIAL INSIDE. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. THIS QUALITY KNIFE IS BEAUTIFUL TO LOOK AT & WHEN IN YOUR HAND... FEELS SPECIAL. COMES OUT OF THE BOX VERY SHARP & READY TO USE. VERY SMOOTH & EFFORTLESS WHEN SLICING/CHOPPING ONIONS & OTHER VEGGIES. MADE QUICK WORK CUTTING UP BACON & IS MOST IMPRESSIVE WHEN SLICING STEAK IN THIN STRIPS FOR FAJITAS OR PHILLY STEAK SANDWICHES. THE ELEGANT WOOD HANDLE (NO RIVETS) FEELS RIGHT AND THE GRIP IS VERY COMFORTABLE. I WAS EXCITED TO SEE HOW THE SCALLOPED & DIMPLED DESIGN ON THE SIDES WOULD PERFORM. WHEN SLICING ONIONS & POTATOES THERE WERE SOME SLICES STICKING TO THE SIDES, BUT THERE WAS NOTICEABLE IMPROVEMENT IN COMPARISON TO MY FAVORITE CHEF KNIFE. SO THERE IS SOME ADVANTAGES WITH THIS DESIGN. THE BLADE SURFACE IS NEARLY 7" LONG, THE REAR HALF OR SO OF THE BLADE IS FLAT & THE FRONT HALF STARTS TO CURVE UPWARD ALLOWING FOR A SLIGHT ROCKING MOTION THUS IMPROVING YOUR EXPERIENCE. OVERALL I AM IMPRESSED WITH THIS KNIFE, ESPECIALLY AT THE $37 PRICE. NOT MANY VENDORS CAN COMPETE WITH THIS 'Sunnecko' CHEF KNIFE AT ANY PRICE... I HAVE USED THIS KNIFE 7 OR 8 TIMES & IS JUST AS SHARP AS THE 1ST. HOLDING AN EDGE IS CRITICAL IN MY BOOK. I ALWAYS HAND WASH MY GOOD KNIVES & THIS KNIFE COMES WITH A NICE SHEATH TO PROTECT IT WHEN STORING. I'M THINKING OF BUYING A COUPLE OF THESE FOR MY DAUGHTER IN LAWS AS XMAS GIFTS. I KNOW THEY WILL LOVE THEM. NO DOUBT QUALITY & VALUE REIGN SUPREME HERE...ENJOY!

Very nice knife, could use a better cover
This is a really nice knife for the price. It came very sharp, and I had no problem slicing through a single piece of paper. It’s a great length for everyday chopping or slicing. It has a full tang without any rivets for weak spots, and the handle is comfortable. It’s easy and comfortable to hold it up by the bolster and rest your middle finger against the heel. There’s a slight upturn on the blade to the tip, which makes rocking motions very easy. All in all a very comfortable and well balanced knife. I’ve already used a straightening rod to “sharpen” it, but I haven’t actually used a whetstone myself or had it professionally sharpened yet, however it’s important to note that it’s sharpened to a 12 - 15 degree angle. I don’t think that the grant on edge is very helpful, but I don’t care that much about that feature. My only complaint, and the reason for reducing 1 star, is the knife cover that comes with it. The cover is completely open along the top spine of the knife. I would think for a knife of this quality and amount, you could get a full cover for the blade portion at least. At least there’s a cover to protect the blade portion from nicks when storing. I definitely recommend the knife regardless.

I'm Spoiled Now
Another knife I've been "forbidden" from using due to (NO FAULT OF MY OWN) a different knife falling out of its holder and cutting my finger. So this knife is forbidden fruit and I had baked chicken breasts and wanted a sharp knife and thought "that looks good" and it is the most amazing knife I've ever used. The handle is a rounded triangular shaped meaning it has great grip and sits so comfortably in your palm. The blade itself sliced through that baked chicken breast like a knife through warm butter. It was so smooth. Not catching, just smooth all the way though. At this point they'll have to hide it from me to keep me from using it. I can't go back to my other knives now.

Nice Looking Knife, Needs Sharpening though
I bought this knife and was super excited to use it straight out of the box. It came packed super nicely, a plastic piece to protect the edge during shipment, a sleeve to store your knife it to protect it from banging into other knives and losing sharpness, great packaging overall. The first item I tried to slice into was a tomato, and it just squashed the tomato down and didn't cut into it at all. I then honed it with my honing rod and it worked a bit better, but still not great. I had to grab my whetstone and sharpen the knife and that's when it started to work great. Apart from the sharpness, the knife feels heavy and sturdy, good quality. Nice to use for cooking, but maybe not for cutting more difficult things like tomatoes, unless you sharpen it.
