Rust quickly they would be good for inside

The quality seems good. The screws are undersized for the latch and their threads make them even less adequate. This might be a five-star product if the screws were omitted.

Used these for clamps on a dust collection barrel to secure lid.

The screws are very bad they are broken during tie down. Those springs are cheap. They came off during installation. Want to return or replace but it’s too late.

Hard to screw in cause flap is in the way.

Did not have the functionality I wanted. Light duty.

There are so many ways to configure this type of latch (as an Amazon search quickly reveals!) and this one was just right for me. These are solid for their small size, and give plenty of clamping force for the bicycle axle mount I made. There are similar types that have a screw in the mechanism that allows tension adjustment; this would have made my use easier, but it wasn't too hard to get the tightness I needed: the hook that receives the locking wire is bendable with a pair of vice grips, so you can tweak the tension after install. That said, if you need bulletproof, unbendable, industrial strength in a small latch, you will probably need to look elsewhere.
