Giraffe Tools Retractable Garden Hose Reel 5/8" 90FT Wall Mount Light Grey

I wasn’t expecting much out of this, but it turned out to be a great product and even better customer service. I had it for about a year when the gear broke. They immediately sent me a replacement. Customer service is great. Would buy again.

Was pleasantly surprised as it worked as advertised and even better, seems to very durable. happy with purchase. My only complaint is the wind up speed could be am little slower but that's nit picking. Overall a great product.

This product was more expensive than others but it working greatly

Hose is thin, but shielded from UV rays so won't degrade as fast as others. Retraction system works very well- Locks and retracts every other pull so you're not trying to find a locking point like normal hose reels. The inside plastic covers do not stay on very well and keep falling off. They use tabs and a 10 degree turn style to lock. Which is not enough to keep them on long term. I would also recommend the higher diameter 5/8" hose over any 1/2". It carries twice the water volume.

I really wanted to love the Giraffe Tools Retractable Hose, but it has been a complete disaster. After the effort of drilling into my brick wall to mount the unit, the hose developed massive surface bubbles after just one day of being outside. These bubbles are so large that the hose is now physically jammed and will not retract or roll out of the case. To make matters worse, the coupling at the house connection leaks incessantly. I noticed another reviewer mentioned similar issues and I should have listened. I am now left with a non-functional product and permanent drill holes in my masonry. From the thin hose material to the tin like couplings and the flimsy spray nozzle, this entire unit feels incredibly cheaply made. Unless Giraffe Tools offers a professional-grade version that actually survives the outdoors, I strongly suggest staying away from this product. I’m hesitant to even ask for a replacement, as I have zero confidence the next one will be any better. Save your time and your brickwork look elsewhere.

This thing is awesome does everything they say it does. Easy to mount doesn’t kink. (Nozzle could be a lot better quality for the price you pay. Other than that L love it!!

The Giraffe Tools Garden Leader Hose has been a fantastic addition to my gardening setup! At 5/8 inch by 2.5 feet, this short water hose is the perfect length for connecting my outdoor faucet to my main hose reel or for use in tight spaces where a longer hose would be cumbersome. The heavy-duty construction is immediately noticeable—the hose feels sturdy yet remains flexible and lightweight, making it easy to maneuver without kinking or tangling. I really appreciate the hybrid material, which combines durability with flexibility, even in varying weather conditions. The bend protection at both ends is a thoughtful feature that prevents wear and tear, ensuring a longer lifespan. The male to female fittings are solid and provide a leak-free connection every time, which is a huge plus compared to other hoses I’ve tried. Overall, this hose is reliable, easy to use, and clearly built to last. I highly recommend the Giraffe Tools Garden Leader Hose to anyone looking for a high-quality, short-length hose for their garden or outdoor needs. Five stars!

Initial review, this unit is very well made and designed. Yeah it’s plastic but I will be taking inside for the winter months. It’s very easy to remove from the wall mount. It’s heavy and the size is kinda big but holds a 100ft hose really well. Mounting was very straight forward with all of the needed hardware. 5/8” hose provides more than enough water and pressure for any yard work and my pressure washer. I think the only word of caution would be to NOT over-extend the hose. When you're pulling out a 100ft hose, towards the end of the reel the pulling pressure gets pretty tough. I put a piece of bright orange tape at my stopping point to make sure that I don’t over-extend the hose limit and damage the unit. After reading all of the reviews I would have to agree that this is the one to buy.
