I’m absolutely in love with this keyboard! The typing experience is so smooth, and it makes a very satisfying 'clack' sound that's not too loud but gives great feedback. The build quality feels very sturdy and premium, and the color scheme is unique and looks fantastic on my desk. I appreciate having both the volume and brightness knobs; it’s a small detail but super convenient. I’ve tried a few mechanical keyboards, and this one is by far my favorite. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their setup for work or gaming.

I love this thing! Feels and sounds great. I love the knob controls. Excellent company to work with. Had an issue with the keyboard not charging and they replaced it without question. Ever since I got into PC gaming, I had always used wired keyboards because I wanted the absolute best performance. Lately, I've been wanting to get a better keyboard and invest a bit and this keyboard was a very good investment. No latency issues, multiple connection modes, very long battery life (charge once a week for multiple hours of use daily) everything works and looks very good, espwcially the key lighting with the different lighting modes. I'll definitely be ordering this brand again for future upgrades. Also, the keys sound amazing. I wanted a break from the super clicky green switches from razer and this keyboard definitely fit that.

This keyboard sounds very nice, slightly a bit loud but it works and feels very high quality, the customization with the lighting is very simple to understand and it charges very fast and stays alive long.

This is a great keyboard. The UI isn't the best, but it's manageable. The keys are not super clicky but just enough tactile feel. The LCD screen will accept any GIF you send to it and thats really cool. Fully removable and changeable switches. You get a lot of features for the price. I switched the key caps with NGE themed caps and put part of the intro as the LCD display.

(New info in edit below) Keyboard is great, however, I never used the keyboard wirelessly so I never noticed that the battery never charged or stopped charging in some point of its life. Always shows zero with a charge cable. Can’t get answers or support from Rk directly. Edit: 1/1/2026 - Finally received an answer back from RK support and they informed me they can’t assist. So I took it upon myself to open up the keyboard. Took out my meter and started testing the components on the usb interface board. Everything checked out, almost. The white wire connection showed zero voltage, but the red showed 4.1v. I disconnected the battery from the board and tested the connector to see maybe the jst connector isn’t crimped correctly but still read zero voltage. I removed the battery packs and started to check them to ensure the wires are connected. No, the white wire wasn’t connected at all. So, I reported back to support and they told me again nothing they can do but offer a discount on a new keyboard. However, the discount is the same price as the sale here on amazon. I told them no thank you. This was clearly a factory issue and I will not take another chance on their boards. It’s a lipo battery and if these short they can catch fire. I was going to order two new keyboards - one for myself and one for my son, as we both got new computers. But now I have to look elsewhere. To future buyers, check all features before the warranty expires!!! My fault on not doing this.

First and foremost the color scheme of white, red and black match my PC's color scheme to the "T". So needless to say I love the color. I usually do a lot of research on items before buying and this one was a tough one, not a lot of reviews outside of Amazon. However, I am so happy that I made the purchase. For the last 2 years I've used Logitech 's MX Keys (100% board). I made the purchase back then based off the reviews, and it made sense since I already owned the MX Master 3 (mouse). No matter how much you research into Logitech MX keys, nothing prepared me for the crap quality of that board. I don't use a desk, my PC is in the bedroom thus (when in use) the keyboard sits on my bed. My bed is really low to the ground, I say about 3 feet up. After dropping it onto my rug a couple times, the entire thing came apart. So much for the metal finish, which is actually some sort of plastic that is made to look like metallic. Keyboard costed $120 before tax. Now back to the Royal Kludge M87. The build quality can be felt the moment you take it out of the box. This thing is heavy! Yes it's a 70-75% board but it has some weight to it. I love it. I'm an 80's baby that grew up with 90's tech. So when I started to type on this thing the sound brought back so many memories. Not only does it sound great, but pressing onto they keys is highly satisfying. I plugged in the 2.4ghz dongle, scrolled through the menu options via the second wheel and clicked. BOOM! instantly connected. Works amazing! Started to play with the lighting options and man, this thing exceeded my expectations. If you like unicorn vomit, this keyboard offers it. However, I personally like 1 unified color and they have plenty of options to choose from. I am in no way shape or form a keyboard enthusiast. Meaning if you want something great that is just going to work out of the box, look no further! Royal Kludge offers mechanical keyboards at a decent price (that isn't priced gouged out the wazoo) reliable and built to last. I never heard of Royal Kludge until recently when I started to research mechanical keyboards to replace my poorly constructed Logitech key board. I am so happy I've made this purchase. Best part of it all, I got it for $69.99 before tax. Logitech can kick rocks, my money will be going to RK if I ever find myself back in the market. I will highly recommend this to anyone and everyone looking for a mechanical keyboard!
