I installed this check valve because there was an issue with a Nissan Sentra not holding fuel pressure after turning ignition switch off (immediately lost all fuel pressure). It turned out the problem was both a little on the fuel line going to the engine and the fuel line back to the gas tank with the fuel pump, but this check valve did help with acceleration issues where an immediate letting off the gas pedal would cause a noticeable lowering of velocity. This check valve helped in that respect though the P0171 code still remained perhaps in part by the return fuel line pressure loss issue. Like has been already said by several before, this check valve works best the closer you install to fuel pump so the closer you install outside the tank on the fuel going to the engine the better the results.

Well, first impressions are not good. Out of the box you can blow through it in either direction. Using my air compressor I shot air through both ways and then the valve stopped allowing flow in the opposite direction, so maybe that fixed it or got it working. However, blowing through it with my mouth, It is very, very restrictive. I bought this valve and another brand that cost twice as much, the more expensive one has near zero restriction in the direction the flow is supposed to go and blocks flow in the opposite direction perfectly and quickly.To be fair, this is a check valve more designed for liquid, I'm testing it with air and plan to use the valves for check valves for vacuum/boost for crank vents or upgraded PCV system to catch can.UPR is the brand of the other product I bought, I am going to return this and buy more of the UPR.Not a lot of great options of this out there and no reviews I saw were geared towards this use. So hope this helps the next guy.U fortunately the UPR has 17mm OD inlet and outlet push lock instead of - an style. But it's well worth the extra $

I bought this for my 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser 4.0L. Two weeks and no problems so far. If you are comparing check valves and are considering a less expensive style, please do your homework. I waisted so much time buying a cheap version. The URGENEX 2 Packs 8MM/5/16inch Chrome Aluminium Fuel Non-return One Way Check Valve will not work or last in any vehicle with a fuel pressure around 50PSI.

Does not restrict flow in one direction. Bought two and I one I can blow through in both directions, the other I can barely blow through past the spring plunger and can still blow through on the other end. Also, description says that it’s manufactured in the United States. That’s a bald faced lie to the consumer. It states right on the package that it’s made in China… It’s a shame that Edelbrock bought Russell and phoned it in with this Chinese junk.

These are more rugged than other designs. I installed one in the fuel tank return and one on the tank output. Tests of my fuel pump check valves indicated that they were bypassing fuel when the engine was off. So far these two check valves have worked better than I had hoped. The xj cherokee cranks right up!

I waited over a month for this part that was supposedly in stock only to be let down . I installed the part started the car and drove it a bit then drove 6 miles down to town and it quit on me at a stop light. I pushed my car through an intersection waited a bit and it started. Began to make my way home when it quit again , got a taxi went home got my other car and went back and determined no fuel was able to pass through the check valve. Installed new fuel hose to eliminate the check valve drove home and then had to get a ride back to my second car. Not a great way to spend a day off.

The one way check valve in my "in tank" pump had failed and the fuel rail was bleeding off and the car would take a long time to start. A new pump was 200$, by installing this check valve the car starts right away. Make sure you use high pressure fuel line and connectors if using on a fuel injected engine.

After having the internal check valve in my fuel pump assembly fail, I purchased a cheap in-line valve which also soon failed. This Russel valve seems much better quality and is working well so far.
