I was seeking a lock for my basement utility room door, to keep kids and guests out of there. I was looking for a more modern solution than just a simple key lock. This lock has multiple options to open it including Bluetooth, pin code, biometric fingerprint, physical key and RFID chip. I also love that it tracks in the app when the door was opened or shut, it creates a log. If you are using biometric entry, it can even tell you when each specific person opened it. You can charge it via USB C, though it seems like the battery will hold for a long time and this isn't something you'll have to worry about more than once or twice a year. Having the physical key option is great, if all else fails just open it with a regular key. You can also have timer based options and being able to open it with Bluetooth means you can open the door remotely for someone else as long as you are within Bluetooth range. It feels heavy duty and comes with all the necessary hardware including the door latch and plate. Definitely a good investment for an indoor door lock.

They tell you to install an application and pair to the lock with bluetooth but they don't tell you that your phone literally should be an inch or so away from the lock so it can detect it and then bind to blootooth. It's difficult to connect the wire into the rear door handle and it isn't obvious which way it goes on, mine actually would only fit with the wires facing up so I struggled a bit.Once you get past that, adding fingerprints, one of the 4 provided cards, or codes is very easy with the app.-1 star for lousy directions and some connection drops. I don't have the gateway so cannot comment on remote access. I have to be pretty close to administrate/access via their application. I see "disconnected" messages once in a while but it seems to reconnect and the functionality doesn't stop. The design with the sideways #'s is a bit odd but I won't use those too much thankfully.

This product is easy to install and easy to use! I also enjoy the extra layer of security and sleep much better.

Very easy to install. But you need to pay attention to little design flaw like the spring that block little screw, battery compartment, IC card must be set up while app is connected via Bluetooth. Installation guide did not give enough detail and there is no user guide either. Don't expect a beautiful, elegant Schlage keylock. This lock clearly look dull and simple. May be useful for low sensitivity area. I wouldn't trust to use this for area with highest security demand.

I ordered this for my 14 year old grandson's room. His 3 1/2 year old brother simply won't stay out, and he didn't have a lock on his door. The 3 1/2 year old is quite clever and can open most locked doors, so I didn't think the standard interior doorknob lock was going to work. The older grandson LOVES this! He uses the thumbprint feature and feels pretty cool about it, while the 3 1/2 year old has been stymied and feels pretty resentful, lol. My daughter and son-in-law both have their thumbprints entered as well so they can get into the room. The key is stored above the door in case the lock goes dead. The good thing about it being battery powered is that even if the power goes out they can still get into the room. The only improvement I would suggest would be to have the ability to disable the lock. If the door is closed, it's locked. Period. You have to use one of the unlock features to get into the room. My grandson enjoys not have to lock his door behind him every time, so it's a plus for him, but his parents would like to be able to disable the lock at night so they could get in easily during an emergency. I will also say that my tech savvy son-in-law struggled to figure out how to get the thumbprint feature set up, but once they were set up they work every time.

Older kids of course (re title). I love this. I got it to replace the doorknob on my garage door, but decided it was too nice for that, so we are installing it on the front door. Unfortunately, I have to wait a little bit because it doesn't fit perfectly where I want it to be, but I expect it work well once we redo the door frame. Make sure you read the description and review the pics in the ad. They are very accurate. This is a great item, and I would definitely recommend
