I roast, bag and sell coffee beans. Using the impulse sealer took up a lot of my packaging time. I had to seal twice to ensure a "good" seal and the heating strips burnt out often. With this sealer I set the temperature and belt speed and within a few minutes it is ready to go. You can adjust both the temp and speed to ensure you are fully sealing the bags. By myself (loading and unloading the bags) it is 3 to 4 times faster than the impulse sealer and I always get a perfect seal. With help, it is 10 times faster. The assembly is easier if you find a youtube video because the manual is rather confusing and doesn't really cover everything. Adjusting and aligning can be a pain but after a few times doing it, the procedure gets easier. You'll will learn to mark the height adjustment for the different size bags. It also has a "Text/Number" wheel that will imprint on the seal for dates or names but I don't need and haven't used it. It looks like it could be a pain changing what is printed. I have only sealed about 500 bags in the last month but it has worked perfectly. I will update this review if anything changes. All in all, this continuous band sealer has saved me a lot of time and effort in bagging my product. It is much more expensive than the impulse sealer but I think it was well worth the money. The sealer works great. We have 2 of them. But it is difficult to find the replacement belts. Size is not in the specifications. Only says you get 20 Teflon Belts. This should be in the listing.

The initial setup was fairly straightforward, but it took a little bit of fine tuning to get the conveyer belt to run true and messing with the temperature and speeds to get a good seal depending on the bags going through (totally expected). Once dialed in it made a huge difference over the 5mm impulse sealer that we have used for years, not to mention the extreme time savings when processing numerous bags! As a test we filled 15 bags with content and sealed them in less than 5 minutes where the impulse sealer would have taken around 15 minutes for the same job that provided a 17mm seal width (12mm wider than our impulse sealer) The only real complaint that I have thus far is the limitation in the lettering kit that is supplied with the embossing (inking) wheel, there are three of all the numbers (0-9), but only one each of the A-Z alphabet. There should be three of all characters since the wheel has three sections to insert the dies to ensure a print on all bags from small to large (or multiple on larger bags). When it comes to longevity, etc. I will update the review if the unexpected happens early.
