Pironman 5

The only thing that I don't like about this case is that delivery took a couple of weeks as they were out of stock, otherwise it is terrific.I decided to move my life from an aging Ubuntu laptop onto a Pi 5 after testing one for a client. The Pi 5 is perfect for the work I do, but needs a case with a fan, and space for a NVMe drive. I browsed a lot of small black boxes and then found the Pironman 5. Technically it fitted met the requirements but aesthetically it blew the competition out of the water! It's a real statement piece.Assembly is easy if you are confident with electronics and tech, but might be a challenge for a complete beginner. However, the included instructions are excellent and there is even a step by step video. The only thing I've changed on the build is to omit the foam feet. With connectors attached the box is more stable without them.Apart from the look, two things make this stand out in the field:1. Full size HDMI connectors. I have always found that larger external connectors are more reliable in the long run.2. The OLED display. Having a really quick look at what the CPU, RAM, DIsk and temp is doing is far, far more useful than you would imagine.One things buyers should note: If you are using an OS like Ubuntu (which I do) and you have an NVMe drive to make bootable etc, then that is beyond the scope of the instructions and you will need to use Google of ChatGPT to complete the job. That includes getting the OLED running. It's not at all hard, but it's not out of the box.So, all in all one highly recommended case for your Pi 5.

This is an excellent product and my go to for testing or using any Raspberry Pi equipment as its fast. Excellent product with good instructions. Put together in about an hour and impressed. Well thought out design and all fits well. Support are excellent too when I contacted them. Extra software is easy to install and kicks in after a reboot. LED’s look amazing too. Finally, I am not connected to this company at all, just a very happy customer - Recommended!

Came with more than I expected - maybe I didn’t read the ad correctly! So make sure you check the list before buying anything else. Nice kit bit fiddly to build but no dramas. The wiring on the fans are the wrong way around in the instructions, but other than that it works well and gave me NVME capability.

It took me a few hours to get this together but that is down to my health. I also used the YT video on how to put it together rather than trying to read the manual even though it is just pictures and very few words. I have one of the case fans working, but the other is not spinning but that will be a job for tomorrow. Overall for my first attempt of trying to build something this small it sort of went as smoothly as it could, a total pain trying to do the screws etc etc. I still have to get the SSD working, the video did say to do it first before installing, but I am hoping that I will be able to format the SSD and get that working. I did use the cloning tool on the PI 5, but that did not want to work. I still have to download the drivers from the website, but another job for tomorrow. It is my first PI, and Rome was not built in a day. However, the reason why I went for this case was because of YT videos, it looks stylish as much as it can, but for the money potentially unless you are using on a desk then really this case is not really needed. I just liked it and decided why not, the functionality of being able to fit an NVME drive was another factor. As for the noise, it is very quiet quieter than a PC that is for sure. I am giving this a four star, even though I would float and say it is about a 3.5 star at the moment. The hardest thing was taking the protective film off the acrylic totally useless to have it like that, surely there has to be a better and easier way of protecting it, but not having it so that you need nails to get the thing off. Value for money, if you can get this in a sale, then well worth it.

This is an amazing case for the Raspberry Pi 5. Pi cases have been really boring up until now that is! The project to build it was fun and the instructions easy to follow. I had a small issue with a part (something I did rather than a faulty part) and the support from Sunfounder has been excellent. If you have a Pi 5 then this case is a must. If you don't, then buy a Pi 5 as a reason to buy this case.

Easy to put together - but get organised with a tray underneath to catch screws that want to end up on the floor. Amazing performance - the SSD support makes a real difference. The small oled display is surprisingly useful. An important tip during assembly - plug the HDMI/power extender board into the Pi BEFORE the small micro SD extender board - the HDMI extender board takes some hard pushing - I damaged the micro SD slot on the Pi which had the extender board in it while doing this. This is the opposite order to the instructions.

Very pleased, good build instructions available on line, high quality and it is aesthetically pleasing. Runs cold.

Amazing bit of kit had no over heating problems with my pi5 now and it looks great the only thing I will say is that the peals on the glass could be easily to pull of

El producto está en perfectas condiciones, el montaje es muy preciso y requiere habilidades técnicas, es importante saber que no está incluida la raspberry ni la ssd, por lo que es importante obtenerlas antes de el montaje. Una vez instalado se tiene que instalar el SO a la targeta micro SD y luego a la SSD. El software y los scripts de Piron man 5 son muy chulos te permiten controlar los ventiladores, leds y incluso la pantalla oled. Recomiendo este producto a todos los aficionados de Raspberry!

Die Verarbeitung ist hochwertig, und die Optik ist wirklich außergewöhnlich für ein Pi-Gehäuse.All-in-One Lösung:Hier ist wirklich alles dabei, was man braucht – aktive Kühlung, Platz für eine NVMe-SSD, Netzschalter, Lüftersteuerung und sogar LEDs. Das Setup ist unkompliziert, alles passt perfekt zusammen und macht einen sehr wertigen Eindruck.NVMe ready:Ich habe eine 256GB NVMe-SSD verbaut, und es war wirklich einfach. Auch hierfür ist im Gehäuse genug Platz vorhanden.Bausatz und Montage:Das Gehäuse wird als Bausatz geliefert und war in ca. 30 Minuten komplett aufgebaut. Die Anleitung ist verständlich, alle Teile sind sauber verarbeitet und passen perfekt – auch als Anfänger bekommt man das locker hin.Praxiseinsatz:Home Assistant läuft absolut stabil und schnell auf dem System, inklusive AdGuard. Keine Überhitzung, keine Probleme, und dazu noch ein echt schickes Gehäuse.Fazit:Das Pironman 5 ist für mich das perfekte Gehäuse für den Raspberry Pi 5 – kompromisslos bei Design, Ausstattung und Funktion. Le boîtier est parfait pour mon utilisation. Il est conforme à la description du produit.Il fonctionne très bien. Le schéma d'assemblage est complet, il ne faut pas avoir car il est livré en pièces détachées. Rien d'insurmontable, il faut compter 1h pour tout intégrer dans le boîtier (raspberry et SSD)Le ventilateur du CPU se déclenche lors de la montée en température mais le refroidissement est si efficace que seuls les ventilateurs du boitiers tournent.Les ports USB, HDMI sont déportés, plus besoin du câble micro HDMI, ici c'est des ports HDMI classique.Très satisfait, beau et petit. J'adore.

Pretty happy with this case. I was looking for a case that would accommodate my nvme 2280 but have some room for ventilation. After playing around with a few cases, this was the one to have.It's a fair bit of kit to assemble so take your time. Some parts/screws have changed since the instructions were created but overall it was easy enough to figure out.I like the full size hdmi ports on the back and the ability to customized the fan colours or change fan settings such as always on our performance.The ice cooler is like other configs it's not on always but I set mine to come on at 50c. If you monitor the temp through the oled you can see the temp when the ice cooler kicks in.Overall very satisfied I got my kit for a hundred bucks Cdn. Looks great on the desk and runs Ubuntu with other services running (samba, plex) and doesn't even break a sweat.If you are looking for a solid case that supports nvme, go for it. You will have a lot of fun building it too!
