I’ve tried all types of the different $30-50 head shavers in this category and finally decided, after some of them would gradually lose overall power, or the blades would dull quickly in the heads, etc., that I would go for a Manscaped brand and spend the extra cash. This one is the best, fastest and closest cut I’ve had. It charges quickly and lasts longer than any other. I tend to go over kill on passes and can still easily get two full sessions in on one charge. Overall, yes, it’s a lil expensive based on alternatives, but I do think you get what you paid for with this product. It’s super easy to clean and works well after. Then 3 months in - a dreaded issue. Motor died. Would show it was charged, but nothing turning inside anymore. I reached out to the company directly and they confirmed some information with me about my order (order #, contact info and issue) and their response was immediate! Like an hour later I think it was? They apologized for the defect and replaced it. From the moment I wrote them (on a Sunday no less), I had a replacement in my hands not even 5 days later and it shipped cross country (totally fine with that based on experience here). I’m writing this review based on 1) great product, it works great, it’s durable and easy it use 2) the customer service was exceptional - I was worried that in today’s world, customer service is a thing of the past and honestly had no hopes of getting a message back. They exceeded my expectations, just in this department alone, to make me a continued customer. I bought the foil shaver as well now (that’s great too).

I recieved my package today and just tried it out for the first time . For the purposes of providing a frame of reference let's say that shaving with a traditional cartridge razor is 100% in terms of a smooth shave. Let's also say that the best an electric razor can possibly get is 98%. The Dome Shaver Pro is a 98% so as far as electric razors go I feel like it's as close as it can possibly be. This is my #1 criteria for grading an electic razor so in that regard it's a win and a good buy. It feels solid and well made but it's too early to evaluate reliability. In addition to it providing a very close shave it also got the job done faster and more efficiently than the other razors I've tried. This is another big win for Manscape. It feels a little different on the head than what I’m used to but I quickly got used to the different (more stiff?) feel . All I ask for is a shave that's close and quick. it does both of those things well. I didn't have any cuts or razor burn so no complaints. I use Lectric shave pre-shave and thought the under carriage of the razor head was well designed and easy to remove and clean. The magnetic head attaches strong and secure. Stronger than other magnetic heads I’ve used. I haven’t had any alignment problems or grinding noises. I own the following razors : Groomie Baldie Pro ver 2.0 , Freebird Flex and the new Freebird Flex Pro. All of them do a decent job but the Manscape and Groomie give the closest shaves. For the price of this razor I would have liked a nose hair trimmer attachment but the travel case is a nice add on and it comes with a high quality usb c cable + it's own power brick so that makes up for it. Well done Manscape. As long as the replacement blades are reasonable I'll be a happy customer. UPDATE : This is officially my favorite head shaver by a large margin. Not only is it the closest shave of the bunch but it does it so much faster and efficiently.

This is a wonderful hair cutting tool. Since I cut my husband's hair I use regular clippers first and then finish it off with this shaver. The best thing is that it cuts close and clean behind his ears. I don't dread cutting his hair anymore and we save at least 30 dollars every month and the cut looks professional

I just received mine today and even this early into having this product, I done fell head over heels in love with it. This head shaver has left my head feeling smooth as silk and looking fabulous. I was a bit scared to make that move on it due to this is pretty much one of those "As seen on TV", but after cutting my hair with my clippers and then going to this head shaver.... the rest is in the history books. Now I can't seem to keep my hands off my head because it feels so good. I am truly thinking of just buying the entire wardrobe of Manscaped grooming products because this is just truly remarkable. I have not one regret of buying this product, nor the other two that I have on the way from this company. This gets the job done in very little time. You can not get any better than that. I forgot to mention that this head shaver does the job of a razor blade without the razor bumps aka razor burns. I am getting results this close and yet I still haven't even touched my Barbasol, only used my Williams Lectric Shave with it because I like the smell of it for one, and it also helps in getting a closer and cleaner shave. All I can say now is just simply wow! If being bald is your thing, or if you have been thinking of going bald...... This is the head shaver to buy right here. Even the product it self looks very rich in build quality. I just simply can not express enough about how truly remarkable this product has been for me. And to put the icing on the cake, this is one product that can assure that you will be looking your best ever. And this is what drives me into wanting to buy the entire grooming collection by this company. They can assure that a very important moment will not be ruined due to their product.

I've been a loyal user of the PitBull head razor for years. Despite some issues, it mostly worked great, and when it finally gave out, I decided to see what else was on the market. That’s when I found the MANSCAPED The Dome Shaver PRO Head Shaver. Starting with the positives, I liked the power lock feature and the convenience of USB-C charging. The handle is pretty comfortable to hold, which initially made me think this could be a great product. But unfortunately, that’s where the good stuff ends. The razor head itself is a big letdown. It’s not very flexible and doesn’t adjust well to the shape of your head, so it feels like only the middle blade of the five is actually doing anything. This really affects the shaving experience and leaves a lot to be desired. An even bigger problem is that the head doesn’t lock into the base securely. Since the blades aren’t very flexible, they need a lot of movement to get a close shave. But if the unit isn’t perfectly parallel to your head, the razor head comes loose and needs to be snapped back into place. This flaw is a dealbreaker for me. Most razors have a locking mechanism for a reason, and not having one here is a major oversight. While the idea is promising, this product isn’t quite there yet. I hope version 2 fixes these issues and is worth trying again. Until then, I’ll be looking for something else.

I’ve tried four different brands and this is EASILY the cleanest and closest shave. I really wish I could give this 5 stars but there is one issue. Theres three pieces to it. I’ll name them the best I can (def not the official names lol) Motor Clippers Base (pictured) The base is the issue. It only secures to the motor by a very shallow nub with two groves. This has worn out quickly over just a few months. Now the base detaches from the motor at least once a shave. The last time it detached it got the ground and the clippers basically exploded (I was able to put them back together but it was a pain in the…). I shouldn’t *need* to do this, but I actually looked for a replacement for the base hoping the price would be reasonable enough to just buy a new one. I didn’t see the option to buy just this piece. Looks like I’d be forced to buy a whole new shaver in hopes the base wouldn’t quickly wear out. I’m sure I’ll be over it soon. I don’t want to look for a new brand but this is only going to continue to get worse and I don’t want to have to continuously keep buying the whole thing over and over for one part. Hoping a better option comes along soon so I can stay with this shaver.

Works great easy to clean only thing is wish it were quieter but great otherwise

As the title states, I'm still on the fence about The Dome Shaver(TM) Pro. It seems sturdy and well made. It has decent battery life, and recharges quickly. It fits well in my hand in a variety of positions, and is fairly comfortable to use. When used dry, it provides a reasonably close shave for an electric razor, with minimal skin irritation. I haven't used it for a wet shave, so I cannot speak to the use in the shower, nor the water resistance. I will say that the charging port does not have any way to cover or seal it, so I guess a little water won't hurt it, but I'm somewhat dubious about that. That said, part of the reason I'm on the fence about this shaver is that it seemed to be worth the extra money when compared to other head shavers, because it seemed to be the only head shaver that didn't require blade replacement every few months. I couldn't find any indication, either on Amazon or Manscaped's website that the blades would need to be replaced. So I thought; "well it costs twice as much as similarly rated head shavers, but I guess I'll save that on blades as long as it lasts a couple years." However, once I received the item, and looked at the instruction booklet, I noticed fine print that it stated: "For optimal performance, we recommend replacing the The Dome Shaver(TM) Pro blade every 10 -12 months." So, apparently, you aren't *required* to periodically replace the blade, but if you want it to "perform optimally," you should. I guess I'll return to this review in 10 -12 months and see how I feel then.

Bought this to replace my Pitbull Skull Shaver Platinum. I've bought 2 and both had battery issues. This one was much cheaper in comparison. After using for a while, battery lasted 2 weeks. I used it in the shower every 2 days for about a minute each time. Since 2 days of hair growth is small, one pass using the circular cutting method was enough to get all the hairs. Pros: + looks and feels premium + cuts really close to my scalp + the blades contour well to my head + usb-c port allows for not carrying extra charging cables when I travel for work Cons: - no cover at the charging port, exposed to water when using it in the shower (it is advertised as ipx7 though) - feels wide when holding it between my fingers - battery indicator and on button location in a hidden spot when holding between the fingers - battery feels short for its size and what it does

Much better (awesome, actually) than expected. I've always been skeptical about coil and rotator shaving accessories but I bought this as it is on sale and I got a say it's amazing. In just minutes my entire head was shaved, as close to the skin as possible. No irritation. No marks. No tugs. Cleanup took about 5 seconds. Having used it now, I don't think I could use anything else. It feels premium, works perfectly, and it has reduced the time I spend doing my head to just a few mins. Love it.

En un principio todo iba perfecto, se siente un producto premium de excelente calidad y buen armado. Después de 3 semanas de uso, empezó a hacer ruidos raros, las cuchillas no se alinean bien y lo que antes tardaba 2 minutos en rasurarme la cabeza ahora tarda 10. Intenté contactar a Amazon por este problema y el servicio ha sido pésimo.
