I have very high arches and was experiencing a lot of pain in the soles of my feet, specifically my heels. After much research, I found Altras, and they have been a lifesaver. They are very lightweight, have the perfect height, and a wide toe box. I have been using them for several months, and the soles of my feet no longer hurt. I love them, and I will soon buy another pair.

Excellent trainers. Bit expensive but its a fit extremely scarce to find.

These are great running shoes that are comfortable and with a wide toe box. However, they were not black like advertised for some reason. I had to use the Kaps Black Colour Restore for Sneakers to change them black, which you can see from the before and after pictures. The lighting is slightly off, but I used a pair of black sketchers as a reference and so that you can see the difference. Apart from that, these are really good quality running shoes that are also quite stylish.

The Altra Men's Escalante 4 is an average option in the world of running shoes. While there are certain features that stand out, such as the zero-drop design that encourages a natural running posture and the responsive EGO midsole that provides a comfortable ride, there are a few shortcomings that hold it back. The fit is somewhat inconsistent, especially around the midfoot area, which may result in unnecessary friction during longer runs. Additionally, while the updated knit material offers breathability, it can feel less supportive than expected, particularly in lateral movement. Overall, it's a fair choice for casual runners, but avid runners might want something with a bit more stability and enhanced durability.

I am having trouble with the heels collapsing in..... I have owned 4 pair of lonepeaks and 4 pair of superiors. I was looking for a more road oriented shoe that would run the same as the superior, but am disspointed by the softness of the foam and the heelcup seems to push my heel too much to the inside.

I find that I have GREAT trouble in finding shoes that don't hurt. They are all too narrow but these shoes are a bit like not having shoes on. They are extremely comfortable.

These are by far the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn. If they also last a long time, then I'm sticking to this brand.

Zapatillas super cómodas, sientan como un calcetín, y notas los dedos libres, aunque al principio se notan un poco "raras". Las compré como calzado del día a día, no para correr, pero no descarto probar algún entreno corto para ver las sensaciones de correr con drop 0. En cuanto a la talla, dicen que mejor 1 número más, pero yo las compré de mi número y ajustan bien, aunque yo tengo "pie griego" (segundo dedo más largo) y a veces me toca con la puntera, pero como hay espacio, lo encojo un poco y no molesta. Y respecto a la amortiguación, la justa y suficiente, no caminas sobre nubes, pero tampoco notas las piedras. Por cierto que las pedí en negro, y el color no es negro puro sino un azul o gris muy oscuro.

Muy cómodos, pero el negro no es realmente negro, es un gris azulado extraño
